Red Roof Plus+ Gainesville

Location was great as we were visiting the university of Florida. Room was clean, bed was comfy. But shower could have used an update since the room had been. They don't offer breakfast only coffee. The pool was out of order and the ice machine on 3rd floor isn't work. Overall I'd give them a 5 out 10.

Stayed here before apartment lease starts. Calm, quiet place close to malls. Nice and kind receptionists. No laundry service, although there is a laundromat a bit away (bit too far to walk) - consider if you are here for a long time.

Called to cancel reservation. Was stuck on phone for 30 minutes. Agent said they couldn’t do anything without hotel personnel permission. Hotel said they couldn’t cancel a third party reservation. Still no refund after a week. I’ll probably never use trip advisor again

Would not recommend, especially with a MUCH BETTER option right next door! My family and I recently booked two nights at this location but ended up checking out after the first night due to the dissatisfaction of our rooms. We booked two rooms due to the size of our family and found both rooms to be very gross. Both rooms had very loud and dirty air conditioners, mold in the bathrooms (specifically the showers), and one shower didn’t drain properly leaving us with backed up water while attempting to shower. You could feel the springs in all four mattresses . We found the over all conditions unacceptable and when we asked what options we had and if we could cancel our second night we were met with “sorry, you booked through *******, there’s nothing we can do”. As previously mentioned, we still checked out after the first night and spent the next night next door at a very pleasant, clean, and accommodating competitor for around the same rate. Hopefully others do not experience the same conditions we did as it has tainted our desire to stay at another Red Roof, a shame since we find ourselves in this area almost monthly for family obligations.

Staff were super nice about the refund process. Understood the situation quickly and explained it to me very nicely. Also, helped in resolving the issue quickly.
