The receptionist gave us a problem because the breakfast had already been paid for, and he didn't acknowledge it. He responded in a bad way. After insisting with the person at the cafeteria, they let us in without any further charge.

I must commend the GM for quickly acknowledging my constructive feedback and refunding my stay, which was the very least to do. I thought maybe additional consideration such as a free night in their system or Hilton points as a gesture of goodwill could have been appropriate. Well done though owning the issues and promising to do better. This was likely the most filthy hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. My room was filthy and grimy with mold on the ceiling, and holes in the towels. This place has major housekeeping and supervision issues. I expected better from a Doubletree so close to the University of Florida.

The hotel was good. We stayed on the first floor. The room was clean. The only thing was the young lady at the front desk, her name was Jade, did they not process my checkout when I went to the front desk at 7:30 AM. (she appeared to be surprised that I was personally requesting my check out). I realized because the Hilton app notified me that it was time to check out so I did through the app.

We have stayed at this location many times, and it is always a good experience. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. There is a casual lobby bar with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, including two nice courtyards. It’s a convenient location close to the interstate, with many shops and restaurants nearby.

We only stayed for one night. The staff was very helpful, but the rooms were a surprise in a poor way. The first rooms bathroom was awful. It smelled of mildew, and the tub surface was in bad condition. The second room we were given was missing its desk lamp and the multi port device charger the was in the previous room. You could see where it was ripped out by someone. This normally would not have been an issue and something we could have worked with, but my wife was doing an online seminar that night and needed all of the power connection for her laptop and devices and needed the extra light of the lamp. The staff was very helpful in trying to find replacements, but after unsuccessfully helping us, moved us to a third room. The property seems nice in the common areas, but I was so disappointed in the rooms.

It was clean, family friendly, welcoming! The boys and girls teams had a great time in the pool! The staff were very supportive of getting our rooms close together! The breakfast had a variety of healthy options for the teams the next morning before the tournaments! I’d stay again!
