Protea Hotel Gaborone Masa Square

Very friendly staff and always ready to support you at any time. 

We stayed at the this hotel 3 times in the space of a month. We returned here for many reasons, the location and the food. But what stood out for me the most was the staff. They were all so friendly and approachable, always willing to help when they can. Thank you to all the staff and in particular Bame, Thabile, Arnold, Babedi, Sharon and Keikantse. Roof top sunset bar is a really nice spot to relax and take in the sunset.

I absolutely loved the staff at this hotel. My AC wasn’t working in my first room on arrival, but they changed my room and gave me an upgraded room/suite. Things may not always go right, but they corrected it immediately. I look out for these little things. Thanks to the entire team here.

Short stop in Gaborone A nice hotel, and seemed like a good location. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. This hotel has a very nice gym and rooftop pool & bar. However, the room could do with some modernisation and certainly some maintenance. The fitures in the bathroom were all loose; the shower was not great and the shower door did nothing to stop the bathroom floor from getting soaked. The AC unit seemed to be occasionally spewing bits of dirt out and then stopped during the night, making the room unbearably hot. Some of the plugs didnt work, and wwee a bit old-fashioned- i would expext a hotel of this supposed quality to have USB charging sockets. If we'd been staying longer I would definitely have asked to move rooms. It is a pity the condition was so run down as the rest of the hotel seemed nice and the staff were very welcoming.
