Booked through Jet2 & Stayed at the Views Baia for 7 nights in a deluxe junior suite. The room was clean & the kitchen area well equipped. Good choice at breakfast & this was enhanced with being able to order off the deluxe menu, lovely blueberry pancakes & eggs Benedict. Because we were in a deluxe room had a seating area for breakfast with spectacular views. We only had dinner in the hotel once & this was a carvery buffet with a good choice. Drinks in the bar were reasonable & the entertainment was good. Even though on a hill we found we still managed to walk back to the hotel after a day’s sightseeing. Good facilities & helpful friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay & first visit to Madeira so much, we have already booked again for our 26th wedding anniversary next September.

We stayed in a classic room with Mountain View. Very quiet room. Balcony rather small, but sufficient. Overall a lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Patrícia on reception was particularly efficient and helpful. Very good breakfast and buffet dinner taken on one occasion. Outdoor and indoor pools and spa facilities excellent. The walk in to Funchal and back was quicker and easier than expected having read other reviews, however, could be challenging for anyone with restricted mobility. Taxi’s are plentiful and not too costly. We will return, but note the following points which resulted in a score of 4 instead of 5: Gym has limited equipment for the size of hotel e.g only one of each type of equipment and weight machine broken; unable to sit at breakfast with a window sea view as reserved for Deluxe customers; although general cleanliness is very good the topper on bed did not have a mattress protector; replacement pool towels have a charge. Overall very pleasant stay.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. We booked self catering with jet2. Nice room with all mod cons included, WiFi, air con,utensils, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, combi microwave and 2 cooking rings. Also had pool towels, gowns and slippers included. Two pools, indoor pool with jacuzzi was great and not busy. Hotel shuttle bus available but we preferred to walk up and down the back streets to the centre. Don't miss the trip to east Madeira, it's breathtaking.

The Views is a nice hotel, not luxurious but good all the same. Breakfast was nice other than the watered down juices. Pool area was good, we didn’t have a problem finding a sun bed at any time of the day. Hotel organised a hire car for us which was great. Walk to old town took 20 minutes go through the carpark gate, down road and then cross at first crossing and follow the back roads, a pleasant walk! We used Bolt to get back when we didn’t fancy the walk £5 booked through the app. The hotels views are fabulous but I wake up to!

I stayed for 4 nights with my boyfriend in July. We loved everything about the hotel. We stayed on the 10th floor in a deluxe room with a garden/side view (but could still see the sea). One of the best bits about our stay was the breakfast. We could order off the menu and use the buffet (I think the menu is only for deluxe bookings). The food by the pool was pretty good and reasonably priced, with nice cocktails served too. The room was beautiful, the bathroom was huge and luxurious. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and some chocolates on arrival. The views from the room, pool, and restaurant were beautiful. The hotel had great facilities, the gym is great and there are tennis courts (although courts cost extra). One thing to be aware of is that the hotel is up a steep hill from the town. Not a problem at all for us, but not good if you don’t like hills.

I would most definitely return to this hotel. The location was perfect for us as it was very quiet. It was 20 min walk to cable car and just 15 min walk down to the promenade. The hill back up was a killer. Cabs were reasonable so we used them daily. Staff were very attentive. Food at the pool bar was excellent. There was lots of choice at breakfast but unfortunately the cooked food wasn't kept at a hot temperature. Plates weren't kept hot so by the time u got back to ur table breakfast was bordering on cold. This is my only criticism. The pool was lovely size. The spa was amazing and so lucky to have this at the hotel. Bruno bar manager stood out from the rest by giving us lots of attention and was able to give us lots of recommendations on places to eat.

I visited Madeira for the second time with my partner and this time chose The Views Baía for our stay. It turned out to be a great choice. The staff were warm, attentive, and really helped make the stay feel special from the moment we arrived. The location worked well for us. It’s a short walk into town, and although the walk back has a bit of an incline, that’s part of Madeira’s charm. I was also glad to find plenty of free parking for our rental car. We enjoyed the facilities, especially the gym and spa, which we used often. I want to give a special thank you to Patricia and Ana V. They consistently went above and beyond at both breakfast and dinner, and were always there to greet us with such warm hearts and big smiles. Learning that they’ve been with the hotel for 25 and 31 years made perfect sense, they’re a real asset to the hotel!

Great hotel. Breakfast was fab. Room was amazing (We went for deluxe option). Location/ views were amazing but it was an uphill walk back from town but very manageable in about 20/25 minutes if you go via the car park level
