"The first room i was in had bedbugs. They were able to move me to another room that was clear of bedbugs. The front desk staff were very kind and professional. Both rooms were non-smoking but smelled of stale cigarettes. Will not be booking an econolodge again."

"The beds were comfortable, and the property was spotless. The shower has great water pressure! The location is perfectly situated on the edge of town, so it was nice and quiet at night. We greatly enjoyed the pool table and daily breakfast. My boyfriend especially appreciated the daily high protein breakfast option ."

"The James Place Inn was very charming and the hosts were friendly & welcoming. It was perfect for our one night's stay in Freeport. Although the inn is very close and walkable to the busy shopping area, the street was surprisingly quiet. We stayed in the blue room on the second floor. It was spacious, comfortable and impeccable. The bathroom is outfitted with a vintage tub and plenty of hot water. The only thing missing was a grab bar. We were happy to find a small shared refrigerator and icemaker as well as glassware in the upstairs hallway. The decor in the room and throughout the inn is lovely. We couldn't help but notice the furniture was locally made by Chilton's, quite impressive! Likewise, the dinnerware was from LL Bean's blueberry collection. Our breakfast was delicious and filling: homemade granola with fruit and yogurt, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausages and blueberry scones. Orange juice and coffee completed the meal. We were more than satisfied! We are glad we stayed at the James Place Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming place to stay."

"My husband I came to Nicholson Inn for our Anniversary and we will definitely be back. Of course we loved the location being on the main strip of food and shopping in Freeport, but more than that we loved the feeling of “home.” The breakfast was delightful and the complimentary coffee and wine, the best! Loretta and John, her husband went out of their way to get us a sweet card and 11 year anniversary gift as well! The house is lovely, the rooms are lovely, the value is great! If you’re looking for a nice, clean, cozy place to stay with the warmest hospitality around, this is your place!"
