Nothing to write home about ! Clean convenient small rooms and decent kitchen / living room. I have not doubt it is the brand vision and it’s executed well. Understaffed at peak weekend check in ; entry check in area too small for all the people waiting to check in . I would move all the unnecessary furniture in that small area and hire a 2nd person for park checkins. There is a kiosk but you can’t even get to it when the reception area is full of people queuing ! Maybe some CX re thinking to do . Room was not clean at all when it was assigned. It happens I guess when hostel busy and only 1 staff on. Outdoor area needs work ! It’s summer and could not enjoy any of it . Franz Josef destination overall not worry stopping at; Fox glacier much nicer .

Loved my stay at the Haka House. Spacious kitchen and hangout area made it perfect for a rainy day in Franz Josef.

Everything was good, the only issue was with the plugpoints in the bathroom. We connected the hairdryer to a few plugpoints but some didn't work.

Amazing location, and amazing stay. Pool table, sauna, plenty of cooking and communal space. Easy check in and check out. Plenty of parking available on site. Plenty of beautiful walks nearby- see picture for example.

Good price, brilliant location, comfy and clean.

I would like to appreciate that they are still providing free tea & coffee

The town is very small. Apart from the self-driving motel, there is a luxury rainforest hotel and youth hostel haka. This haka is newly opened. In addition to the bed room, there are also ordinary rooms with bathrooms. It is generally new and the facilities are basic but sufficient. The kitchen and common lounge are quite large. It is orderly and clean even when full. Recommended to stay overnight in the town. Facilities: Complete, there is also a sauna room Hygiene: basically new and clean Environment: Surrounded by rainforest environment, not far from the main National Highway 6, convenient for viewing glaciers and hiking Service: It is basic, no service is needed

Because it was New Year's Day, we didn't clean at all. I understand the situation, but the price was more expensive. I would have understood if the price had been cheaper.

Not very social, but was helped very well at the reception for activities etc!

It is located in the city with a gas station and a grocery store nearby. There is a communal kitchen for use. It is clean and convenient. The rooms are not very spacious. Some rooms are being renovated.

Facilities: Complete facilities, everything you need Sanitation: Clean and tidy Environment: Very close to the city center, very quiet, you won't be woken up at night Service: Friendly service, proactive introduction of facilities and attractions, etc.

As a group we had a four-person room and it was perfect for us. Clean hostel and a brilliant sauna. Highly recommended
