I attempted to stay here in October 2025, but a massive storm prevented me from arriving. All transportation out of Glasgow was cancelled. We tried to call and message the hotel multiple times and didn't even get a response. I understand the storm isn't their fault, but we lost all of our money without so much as an apology. I've been trying every which way to contact them and they've gone radio silent. You can't control the weather in Scotland, so don't risk it. I can only conclude that this place is run by a bunch of grifters, so it's best to avoid it.

Booked this place £95 B&B. Absolutely disgraceful. How this property has numerous 5 star reviews is an absolute joke. Had I had another option I would have left even though I paid. I could go on. My advice ignore the reviews as they are a million miles from been accurate

Johnny was a great host. He took great care of us after an extremely long day on the West Highland Way. He gave us great tips to prepare for our hike before we even travelled to Scotland. When we were setting off in the morning, he made sure we were ready to face the Scottish weather and climb the Devil’s Staircase, plus he made a delicious breakfast to set us up for the day!

I arrived at Park View Bed & Breakfast many hours early, wet & cold. Johnny the proprietor invited me in, turned on the heating in my room, gave me a hot cup of tea and cooked me a full Scottish breakfast to eat with his other mornings guests 🤩 all very much needed. He was very helpful to myself and the other guests in many ways and particularly with his extensive knowledge of the area and conditions. He genuinely cared about making it the best experience possible in his home from home comfy B&B thank you so much

I was bike travelling, at the end of a very bad weather day, completely tired and soaked, and could only find a room here. Being a traveller too, Johnny was so careful and nice with me, knowing exactly what I needed, and in one second I was sat with a boiling mug of coffee and shortbreads. I couldn't find any better, that made my day. Next morning, the breakfast was incredibly good. After being so weak, Johnny made me strong and smiling again !

Host is nice but the place is very tired. I was in the loft conversion which had a window that you could not see through. It had the added benefit of using an 8mm Allan key stuffed in a hole in the frame, to keep it closed ( the closing mechanism was broken). It also did not close fully which let a nice fleet of midges in at night. Finally, there were no blackout blinds in the room which meant with the highland summer nights, you needed to bring eye patches. The bathroom was OK but again very tired and you needed to step through the shower tray to use the toilet ( see pics) The breakfast was so so with all the cereal options being ones coated in sugar. If you want a no frills, low cost 'backpacker' type of place go for it. The other rooms looked ok but don't opt for the loft rooms. Seems the owner is trying to maximise the £££'s he can get out of this place but won't invest in it to repair the windows, threadbare carpets or get some decent cereal options in.

As mentioned by other reviewers, the host is helpful and pleasant. And the breakfast is very good, which lifted the review slightly. However, it has to be recorded that the attic room described vividly by another reviewer leaves a great deal to be desired. There are not even hangers available let alone a window that you can see through. A cheap foam mattress and a bed which creaks impressively, a window which doesn’t close properly and a loft access door with a permanent draught. Exclusive use of a bathroom, but down a steep staircase and featuring rather unusual smell. Other reviewers have commented on the fire risks, and some of the electrical appliances do seem to have very unusual wiring. Has the building had a fire inspection? I think the other rooms are probably considerably better, keeping other reviewers happy. But do check if you are going to be given the attic room with the Velux window! My review is based only on that room.
