This was a great place to spend time before we embarked on a 5 day family celebration of a wedding. We were there only 2 nights but had a weeks worth of experiences. We met interesting people and learned wonderful history of the compound from the proprietors who have completely modernized beautifully this Farm. Silvia prepares all her meals with fresh fruit and vegetables from the area and offers a breakfast with many many choices of delicious breads, jams, cheeses etc. Erik could plan your entire touring experience in Firenze as he chats throughout the day. Ugo, their wonderful Italian water dog meanders throughout the property, to make sure all is going well. I heartily recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and wants a real taste of old Tuscany.

Outstanding location, hospitality, food, mind blowing views. Very spacy rooms. Typical Tuscany style architecture. The breakfast is super delicious with fresh home baked bread each morning. The cultural service from Eric is better than any Tourguides. The perfect place to experience Tuscany and visit Florence. One of the best places of this kind we‘ve ever experienced.

We had a wonderful stay at Campolungo. Friendly and knowledgeable host, beautifully decorated and restored buildings, rooms & gardens. Comfy bed & sofa in junior suite, with a great shower. Fantastic breakfast - some of the nicest produce we tasted in Tuscany. Excellent location for nearby walks, Fiesole is lovely for a day's wandering, Florence less than an hour away, and Siena 1.5 hrs, a very convenient base for exploring. We foolishly didn't arrange olive oil/wine tasting with Sylvia, and wished we had made time for that in our itinerary. Left with a suitcase full of her gorgeous produce. If you visit in cooler seasons, the junior suite had stone floors which were beautiful, but if we visit again I will bring some slippers. There is a tea/coffee station in the breakfast room, but no kettle in the room (I have a truly English dependence on tea). Many thanks for a lovely stay.
Response from Property: Thank you for your beautiful description of our Agriturismo and thank you for your observations. Take care

The place is certainly very beautiful, immersed, dare I say lost, in the beautiful Tuscan hills that always give a remarkable touch to a stay in these parts. As soon as we arrived we were immediately struck by the beauty of the surrounding nature while the Villa could perhaps require a little more external maintenance. The well-renovated room respecting the style of the place, is very large and clean but not very bright. It is not equipped with a fridge and television. Also the large bathroom with a shower that I really appreciated being in masonry and all tiled. Breakfast is served at 8.30, too late in our opinion. It was difficult to find a place close enough to have dinner. We had found the Mario alla Querciola restaurant, where we had a good time, a pity that it was closed in the following days. The location is definitely worth it but the road to get there is very bumpy. A section is dirt but even the asphalt is very compromised, full of holes and unevenness. You need to be very careful especially in the dark at night.

Ci siamo sentiti a casa.
