Golden Moon Hotel ★★★

"This was our first holiday to Turkey so we weren't sure what to expect. We booked a package with easyJet Holidays and arriving at night, only the hotel's night porter was on duty, so we were just shown to our room, and unable to find out anything about the hotel's facilities or the local area. However, the next morning we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff and given some useful tips as to how to get around. The rooms are quite basic and our view from the rear of the hotel was not the best, however the air conditioning was very good and the rooms were serviced daily. Breakfast was quite simple and much the same each day consisting of cereals, cheese, olives, tomato, pepper, cucumber, boiled eggs, bread, fruit and yogurt, so more than sufficient to start the day. There were very few guests staying throughout the time of our visit, so the pool area was nice and quiet and you didn't get disturbed at night. The location of the hotel is great, as it was just a short stroll to the local shops, bars and restaurants, as well as the water taxi, bus stop and beach. The views from the beach promenade were breath taking, particularly the sunsets at night and there was a great selection of bars and restaurants to choose from. It was apparent from speaking to others that Calis Beach is somewhere that people return to year after year and we would have no hesitation going back. If you prefer large busy hotels with lots of facilities, the Golden Moon may not be for you, but if you don't mind staying at a small simple friendly hotel, you won't go far wrong staying here."

"We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days over the Bayram holiday. The rooms and cleanliness were good. The location is extremely close to Ölüdeniz center. There was no problem with parking. We booked a stay that included breakfast, but the breakfast selection wasn't very diverse. The room view was excellent. Overall, we were satisfied."

"Back from a fantastic week at the Hisar and no complaints from us. Arrived and our needs were met by the team with no issues. Bags helped to the rooms and ready to start a week of relaxation. One of our rooms was in the block next to Eski bar so could have some loud noise, but as we never went to bed early it wasn’t an issue for us. We enjoyed laughing at the bar across the road from the balcony. The other room was at the opposite end of the pool, great location too. Rooms were always clean with fresh towels and bins emptied almost daily. Breakfast was basic but that suited us - scrambled eggs on toast, mushrooms on toast, beans on toast, oats and yogurt, fruits, cheeses. Always something a little different each day. Pool itself was great, as a fan of the shade I’d soon worked out where I wanted to lie. The other sun worshippers also were happy. We ate lunch at the hotel most days and dinner twice - the steak was cooked exactly how we like it and was an excellent size for the price paid. Salads were huge and pasta tasty. Cocktails by the pool in the afternoon were delicious. Eski bar was great fun - pool table to keep you entertained whilst waiting to meet others and great service and cocktails. Turkish bath in the spa below was relaxing and the staff so friendly. Not one complaint from us for this trip - thank you Hisar Holiday Club. We first came 20 years ago and will be back again soon."
