Pro: the hotel staff is very friendly, like to thanks the kitchen staff to prepare our breakfast daily and dinner once. the central court of hotel is lovely. Location itself is not bad, except initially it's bit hard to locate it, and surrounding street is not clearly marked, but it's FES in general within old town setting, Con: the room is ok (we reserve a large one, with bedroom, living room and bathroom in its own quarter. Bed is bit hard to sleep, pillow is also very hard. End up didn't use pillow at all. The cleanliness of living room, couch and floor mat is questionable. In one night, we seen one roach crossing over. The bath room has large tub but no curtain, water spray can be everywhere. The worst thing is the toilet, u can literally smell the gas and need keep window open overnight, it's due to the old sewerage system in old town IMHO. Overall, the RIAD building itself is dated and crumble and need lots of maintenance for sure to claim its star rating. Lastly, watch out if u reserved in dollars or Euro, the hotel will charge you in dirham when checked in. Since dirham appreciated so much in past 1-2 months, u will be shocked the real price per day is 5-6% higher.

If you’re staying in Fes, I recommend you stay here. Staff are super friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself as a great traditional Moroccan feel. Mohammed et al. made us feel very welcome. The location is great, walking distance from medina mazes. Brilliant stay and enjoyed Fes very much.

This was really an excellent stay in a real old house that, for more than 100 now, hosts its guests. All the Riad was beautifully decorated with local made mosaics. A splendid interior covered court welcomes you as you enter the hotel. Welcome tea is kindly offered upon arrival. We stayed in Misk room, at top floor. Large room, it accommodates 3 persons if needed. On lower floors the rooms are way bigger, so f you like space, check those first. All the amnesties were good quality. The spa was a real gem due to the professionals working here. I have to mention Zineb as she did such a great massage, one of the best I ever had ( and I kind of do it regularly). Magic hands for my painful shoulder. Nevertheless the massage bed should be updated, and the room could be made more welcoming with little effort. The restaurant offered good local dishes. I had the best Lamb Tangine I ever during my 10 days stay in Marocco. I recommend at least one dinner to be served on the top terrace. Or the breakfast. For the breakfast the offer is large enough to accommodate most tastes. The staff was more than helpful. Not only by doing the formalities fast and being kind, but also by being very client oriented. My husband happened to fell very sick during our stay there. They carefully prepared for him what I asked, they help with local medicine and were constantly in contact with us. I warmly recommend this place if you want a beautiful, traditional and clean location in Fes.
