Riad Dar Hidaya Fes

This hotel is located in the old city of Fes. Check-in was excellent, the sun was nice, and the rooftop was cozy. Breakfast was also good, thank you. I'll be back in Morroco next time!

They had a problem with the reservation and didn't have any rooms for us. They transferred us to another hotel, but it was of inferior quality. Finally, the next night we returned to Dar Hidaya. They compensated us with dinner for the problems. Although the experience started out average, they resolved it and treated us very well. The room was very comfortable, and breakfast and dinner were excellent. They also made it easier for us to find a taxi and accompanied us. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of that initial detail.

We arrived at the facility in the afternoon quite worried: the hotel we had booked previously, we found it closed for renovations and they hadn't notified us until that day. Tired and worried we showed up asking for two rooms, 4 adults and 1 6 year old child. He showed us the rooms, at first glance they seemed quite clean, then he offered me a slightly smaller room and asked me which one I preferred, the other one seemed brighter and I told him I preferred that one. Since it was 6pm we couldn't risk not having a place to sleep so we told him that it was fine, that we needed the rooms for two nights and that he should give us a price. From Booking for everything it came to 167.00 euros, he couldn't believe that the price was so low so he started calling the manager and offered us the rooms at 10 euros more (without going through Booking and therefore saving the percentage he would have had to pay). So we told him "At this point we'll book from Booking" and he said "then I won't accept the reservation". Caught by the throat we had to accept and then he, not happy, instead of giving me the brightest room, he gave me the second choice and then I got nervous and told him that those were not the agreements and then he, knowing that we were obliged to stay (in the meantime our friends with the child had taken the room), looked at me with an arrogant face, put a hand on my shoulder and said to me like "madam, if you want it, it's like this or else you leave!" I, believing in my right, moved my shoulder, moving my hand and told him not to touch me. He got offended (he got offended, you understand?) and started telling us to go away, he kicked us out and said that he wouldn't give us the room. At that point, seeing that the situation was degenerating, my partner tried to find a point of diplomacy, I bit my tongue and he gave us the room. For a few euros he was rude, incorrect, not at all welcoming and I would add dishonest. I add that the sheets had not been changed, you could clearly see that they had slept on them, but since we had not yet paid, I did not ask to change them because I was afraid he would throw us out in the middle of the night. We had to put the sheet on the used one and sleep only with the blanket. The experience was terrible, he (I do not remember the name) despite being a young boy, a disgusting person for the way he presented himself. He also boasted a lot that it was a hotel frequented by "Adventures in the world" who I hope will review their accommodations. The breakfast was nothing special, certainly those who stopped for dinner or used other services (such as the hammam) were served with more things and more quickly. AVOID IT!!!

Der Gastgeber Mustapha und alle Leute im Airbnb sind super nett und zuvorkommend! Wir waren während Ramadan im Land (Tagsüber von 3:00 - 19:00 wird nichts getrunken und gegessen) und trotz der Einschränkungen haben sie uns immer top bewirtet. Wir kamen spät in der Nacht an und wurden ohne Probleme eingecheckt und in unser Zimmer geführt. Am Morgen gab es ein traditionelles Frühstück (Eier, Frischkäse, Orangensaft, Fladenbrot; süß und normal). Mustapha hat uns zusätzlich die Umgebung gezeigt. Hier hat sich herausgestellt, dass sein Airbnb zentral gelegen ist. Man ist schnell in den Suks (Marktstraße) und bei den berühmten Gerbervierteln. Allem in allem ein wunderschöner Platz zum Verweilen und wirklich zentral, um die Umgebung auszukundschaften. Gerne wieder!
