On our tour, we had a stop in Fes and stayed one night at the Zalah Park Palace in room 1152. Room – Cons 1-The bathroom showerhead wasn’t tightened properly, and most of the water flowed onto the tiles instead of on us. 2-No safe. 3-Very basic amenities — only hand soap, shampoo, and shower gel. There weren’t even any tissues in the room. Room – Pros 1-Comfortable beds. 2-The room had a fridge. Location The hotel is located near a small mall that includes a supermarket, just a few minutes’ walk away. Hotel Grounds 1-There are two outdoor swimming pools. 2-Two restaurants are available. The main one offers buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 3-There is a small souvenir shop near the second pool. 4-The elevators are insufficient when large crowds show up — at one point, around 50 people with luggage were waiting, so we had to use the stairs. Buffet We only had breakfast and dinner, which were included in our package. Note that drinks — including water — are not complimentary. Breakfast was average, but dinner was poor. The staff seemed disorganized and unable to manage the service properly. Overall Impression The receptionist was unprofessional and unfriendly during check-in. Overall, this hotel is definitely not a five-star property — more like a three-star at best. Sadly, not worth the stay.

This is a 5 stars hotel, including dinner. We (6 of us) went to have a dinner, it was a buffet system. The drinks were not included, after half an hour nobody asked us about a glass of water. We finished the dinner without any drinks, so after half an hour I brought my wine from the room to the table. After 10 seconds 3 of waiters came to the table, that it is not allowed and they were very agressive. The boss were took of my wine opener I use for 18 years. They said, this is our fault, because we have to ask for the waiters, even they would say sorry, as it can happen in the 5 stars hotel we visited in almost 70 countries in the last 20 years I think this level is under 3 stars, the boss was ineligible for this function..

I am at this hotel now as part of a TUI tour of Morocco. How it got 5 stars I have no idea. It is truly awful. Bad location, incompetent staff, poor food choices and quality, no safe in room, very tired decor in the rooms, no walk in showers at all. Fes is great but do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel.

Zalagh Parc Palace could possibly be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. No way is it a 5*. It was clean but very, very basic accommodation. Half the facilities advertised are closed – Gym, Irish Bar, Bowling etc. Food in restaurant - not much variety and only lukewarm. Same bread, salad and fruits for breakfast and dinner. Dinner had one hot meat (not necessarily hot) with a few offerings of veg which was tasteless and un appetising. The rooms again were clean but overall standard was really bad. Separate toilet door meant you had to squeeze in (and I’m small). Broken everything and plugs not fitted properly. Bath filled up when showering. There were also regular power cuts. Staff didn’t even look up to speak and would walk off and attend to someone else mid-sentence. Quite rude, especially at Reception where first impressions are made. Restaurant manager was shouting at his staff in front of everyone. And the egg chef would refuse to make an omelette while she used her phone!!! Desserts were pink custard or cake! Sorely disappointed in this hotel ‘Palace’ no way and 5* never??

This is supposedly rated as a 4 star hotel not sure where this rating came from The entrance is grand and offers much, that is where it ends The room I stayed in was less than satisfactory, the aircon blows hot air despite set on 10 degrees, needed to open the window to cool the room down, the shower curtain rail fell down on having a shower and the bath is slippery -beware The restuarent has great salads and that’s it, breakfast again great salads and that’s it I tried to have a cup of hot tea with milk and got hot milk no water with tea and got charged 60 dirams The one saving grace of the hotel is the massage By the way forget the internet, tethered it to your phone it will only work that way Value avoid at all costs

We were booked into the Zalagh Parc Palace Hotel, as part of the Europamundo package for Morocco, and it was a stark contrast to the other hotels we stayed at, which ranged from 3 to 5 stars and met their advertised standards. While the decor at Zalagh Parc Palace is good, the attitude of the staff is utterly unacceptable. They were rude and unwelcoming, creating a negative atmosphere. The food was disappointing and sub standard for a 5 star. While every other hotel in Morocco provided at least one complimentary bottle of water in the room, this hotel refused to provide even a small bottle of water in the room, insisting that they do not provide water to the Europamundo group, but some other groups were provided water, and thus directed us to buy it from the Bar or elsewhere. I strongly advise avoiding this hotel if you want your stay in Morocco to be enjoyable and welcoming.

They boast 5* and it probably was many years ago. You can tell from the reception rooms it was obviously somewhere really special in its day. However the rooms are a let down. Old tired furniture, poorly maintained items, no safe boxes (apparently some rooms had them but you could lift them up!), air con poor.... with some good maintenance they could make the rooms so much better. Buffet style food.... salads in the evening were good but very little choice in the way of hot dishes. Breakfast also not much choice and the egg station was not open at all during my two mornings.

WARNING ALL TRAVELLERS *********************** I would like to seriously warn all travellers to Fes before booking this hotel. We have just returned from a trip staying in this hotel and me and my wife, who have visited Morocco many times, and infact are very frequent travellers, are deeply shocked at our experience at this hotel. The staff is unbelievably agressive, my wife was physically attacked by one staff, the next day the so called 'manager' was shouting at her for apparantly not having paid for something, which she had of course and all was clarified. but no apology, nothing. next day we caught one member of staff stealing something that belonged to us, first he pretended he didnt and only after pursuing very strongly, he handed it back. things like this kept happening and we were very close to involving the police by the end, which however we also know in morocco would have been no help. But yes - women especially BE AWARE of staying in this hotel - the male staff here have a very serious problem with treating women respectful. Out ot travelling in over 150 countries this is easily the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
