We are family of 3. We booked one room and hotel is very kind that upgraded to a room with 3 beds. Hotel is by the Qifeng square which is the final stop of Bus no 1 from fenghuang high speed train station. It is 5 to 7 min walk to old city (gu cheng) Hung Qiao. Breakfast spread is Chinese. Internet is slow in the room.

Very friendly and helpful reception especially the customer relations lady who advised on the sights etc and gave mementos upon checkout! Location is great, few minutes walk to the centre and sights. Room is spacious and clean. Definitely recommended.

We stayed at a highly rated hotel we found on Ctrip, just a few minutes’ walk from the ancient town. The shuttle bus stop was right at the hotel entrance, which was super convenient. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming, and we even had butler service—the butler was really friendly and polite. Check-in was quick and easy. The hotel had everything we needed, like foot massages, a gym, a supermarket, and plenty of parking. The housekeeping staff on our floor were very polite and helpful. Our room was big, clean, and cozy, with super comfy bedding—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The area around the hotel was great, with lots of places to eat and shop. It was only a short walk to the ancient town and Hongqiao Bridge. The walk there was lovely, and the night views were amazing. The whole vibe of the place was so charming we didn’t want to leave. When we checked out, the butler even gave us a little local gift, which was such a nice surprise. The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel special. The people in Fenghuang are so kind and genuine. We’ll definitely come back with friends next time. Highly recommend the Xiangxi Grand Hotel!

Very convenient location. 5 minute walk to the central river district area where all the fun activities are. Clean and great service. Staff is very accommodating and happy to give us later check out. They presented us gifts when checking in and also at checking out fruits and very tasty candies. Will definitely stay here again.

We had the best service of our trip at this hotel- they truly go beyond and above. It was only a 15min Didi from the train station, also the bus shuttle from HSR to the city is right in front of the hotel. The location is perfectly situated at one side of the main bridge, but a nice 5min stroll away such that you are away from the noise on the main strip (in front of the river). Also, no mosquitoes. We initially booked a riverfront hotel but I am SO glad that we changed to this hotel after actually walking the whole tourist strip on foot. Legit the cobblestones near the river are terrible, and cars can’t get in so it’d have been a nightmare. Next, Xiao Dai （小代） who helped us and the manager were all so sweet. 小代answered all our WeChat questions extremely promptly (literally 1-2mins), and when we asked about the free laundry self use machine onsite, she offered to have us leave it in our room and do it for us so we could go out and explore. I thought this was truly above and beyond- she picked the clothes up from our room, washed them (separately as well for colours and whites), hung them and sent us a photo, dried them and returned them to us folded and freshly laundered. We were simply floored by this level of service. They are so so so kind and I can’t recommend this hotel enough for their kindness and eagerness to ensure your comfort during your stay. We stayed on the 7th floor in a suite and it was very comfortable- the bed itself and pillows were just right. Sheets felt high quality, pillows not too stiff and high, duvet was fluffy and nice. I liked that the toilet is separated from the shower and vanity- the soft but bright filtered lighting for the bathroom vanity was amazing for getting ready (for the girls who are sick of hotels with dark lighting and can’t do their make up). The room was spacious and although some aspects were a bit outdated, it was clean large and comfortable - we were so happy with our room. They also gave our group of 3 girls 4 room cards which allows for each card to breakfast. The breakfast ayis were so nice and made eggs freshly your way when asked. The cucumber and radish pickles were yummy and we really liked the corn soup and congee as well as all the vegetable dishes. The selection was good for us, as we like clean and simple, easy to digest and nutritious foods in the morning. Oh yeah they also sent us to the HSR on check out without charge, in the hotel’s car. They were so prompt in getting us to the HSR and the driver was really considerate, safe and careful. Literally the most calm drive we’ve experienced in China. Side note- the gym is massive and looks largely unused but the equipment is good, there are weights and cables and everything. There’s also a pool table and table tennis. A yoga room complete with a good amount of gear and mats.

Great customer service, excellent hotel location near Fenghuangguchen, good breakfast buffet spread, quick check-in and check-out. Welcome fruits and hotel souvenir upon checkout. Direct Bus service in front of hotel to HSR station for a small fee.

Best 🫶 free shuttle to the train station, free fruits when I arrived , free buffet breakfast , and free delicacies given upon check out. These hotel is generous & it’s worth the penny. Location wise everything is walkable and nearby. Front desk was very nice & most of the staff. Restaurant is downstairs as well and open for lunch & dinner. There is also convenient store , spa, and lots more. Cleanliness 👍, spacious 👍 If you wanna have a great stay in Phoenix town. I highly recommend this hotel. 🫶

We had a lovely one-day stay in Phoenix Ancient City. The location was ideal, offering beautiful views and easy access to the area's historic charm. The staff were warm and attentive, and the room was cozy and clean.

Excellent hotel to stay at FengHuang. Historical riverside and attractions are about 1 km away and within 10 min walk. Hotel is clean and room is very comfortable. This hotel provided us with free transportation to and from the train station which is about 20 minutes away from the hotel. They came in two cars to collect our group of 6. The drivers are so very friendly and helpful. Such unexpected service is a credit to Chinese people and especially for Feng Huang. We will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to FH.

Especially the service was very kind and always gave their best to help us The room was big and clean Sadly the pool was under constructions but all in all it was a good time.

Location is ideal as you can take the bus shuttle from train station. Room is spacious and clean. The reception and the manager are friendly and informative. Will definitely recommend to friends to stay here.

We are Malaysians, coming to Hunan for the first time, to Phoenix for the first. Ctrip on the election of the most praised the most Xiangxi Hotel, note the need for shuttle service, but forget to leave the phone. After getting off the high-speed rail station, I didn't remember the pick-up, so I got on the bus. Later, when I got to the hotel, the receptionist told us that the pick-off worker didn' t pick us up at the high- speed rail station. We only remembered the incident and felt very sorry. The hotel has a large parking lot. Check-in at the front desk was very quick. The hotel also has a dedicated butler who served us a fruit after check-in. It was very kind. You can contact them for any needs in the room. The service staff was very welcoming, the room was spacious, bright and comfortable, the sheets and covers were clean and refreshing and the sleep was super comfortable. Phoenix is definitely the most beautiful small city, and the night sky is very charming. There was a great selection of snacks around the hotel and it was very convenient. I was so happy to have booked this hotel. I contacted the housekeeper to drop off at 8 o'clock the next day. After checking out, I waited a little while. I was pleasantly surprised that the drop-off was a beautiful little sister. Along the way, we talked about family and work. We arrived at the high-speed rail station very quickly, and we were a little too tired to leave. Phoenix the most Xiangxi Hotel, super worth staying Oh, I must recommend my friends to Phoenix, remember not to miss the most Xiangxi!

The hotel is clean, has Chinese restaurant first floor, but there’s no pool and sunbathing area as it noted. The door was locked for the roof which disappointed us a lot
