The food, the underwater environment, the facilities, the cleanliness, the friendliness, everything was great without exception. The only thing is that the road is hard to get thereㅠㅠ Please make sure to come with a long walletㅠㅠ

Our honeymoon was Perfect! We enjoyed our Time in The Résidence Maldive. The weather was great despite the rainy season. The atmospher was just what we look for : calm and relaxing for our honeymoon. The beach et falumafushi was great with the pool and the beach bar where Rasal makes excellent cocktails. The beach villa had a great view, we slept very well. House keeping was always Perfectly done by Joynal. Staff was always smiling and always happy to help. The food was just delicious! A lot of activities are available (snorkeling, kawak, jetski..) The dolphin Cruise was Amazing!

This was the best resort I have ever visited so far in my life. The trip was part of my 50th birthday celebration. I stayed there with my wife and 7 years old son. Our stay was amazing and this resort is excellent because of its staff, location, hospitality and delicious food. Joynall who was our villa attendant was extremely kind and attentive. The bath he prepared for my wife was breathtaking. The Cheff Ashish Domee was extremely accommodating and kind. Servers, front desk, doctor and others made our stay a heaven on Earth. Thumbs up to Jaavid, Shina, Aus, Hazrat, Maaish, Yna, Tuhim, Samar and Shavin. My wife used to call me Spartan when we dated and we got villa #300 that was an amazing coincedence

The most beautiful resort with the loveliest staff who cannot do enough for you! Bars remembered our drink orders, restaurants remembered our food requests and nothing was too much trouble! We mentioned in passing whilst laughing that one of my husbands beach shoes had been washed away when the tide came in to our waiter whilst eating dinner and all had a laugh about it. When we returned to our room, concierge had brought him several pairs of brand new crocs and insisted on him choosing some, free of charge! The atol is gorgeous with plenty of marine life. We were fortunate enough to be staying in an over water bungalow and saw sharks, rays and turtles daily! Don't let out of season periods put you off either ... the staff work so hard to clear up after any storms and they are short lived! Thank you for an amazing stay that we will remember forever!

We stayed here for our honeymoon in Jan 2025. The staff are amazing - always smiling, always very friendly and helpful. The room (water bungalow with pool) was incredible. The housekeeping staff including Francis were excellent. The food in the dining room was great and the staff there - Ishan, Shani, Nahil, Hazrat, Suhana were all lovely. I had a massage in the spa with Sanjay who was amazing. The snorkelling along the reef is absolutely beautiful and we had free use of snorkels, fins and life jackets. Fawaaz who met us in Male was excellent and very helpful. There was free paddle boarding or kayaking during a set time each day. We also had the option of lots of paid activities. There was a free gym. We did sunrise yoga everyday which was free and we really enjoyed. The downside: We had a disaster getting there which isn't the Residence's fault - but we had a big delay at Male airport, then a lovely staff member from t he Residence (Fawaaz) helped us and met us there - he brought us for a free lunch. Then the domestic flight to the island was delayed an hour, it then made a stop off on another island. So in total from leaving our room in Sri Lanka to arriving in our room in the Residence it took 12 hours. The meat at times wasn't amazing - you could tell it wasn't fresh - but I understand that it has to get imported to the island so it's not fresh that day. We weren't aware of all the restaurants and things on offer on the island - we felt that the lobby or information back we were given at check in could have been clearer and a little more thorough. Also when we arrived we were told most of the restaurants were booked up for our stay - but no-one had contacted us before our trip to say we should pre book which was frustrating. Overall it was an excellent stay and we would highly recommend it.

We enjoyed a 5-night stay in an overwater villa with pool at The Residence Falhumaafushi over Christmas 2024. We booked the standard all inclusive package which was well worth it. It included a daily buffet breakfast, 2 courses at lunch and 3 for dinner which was a huge amount of food and drink! Villa 302 was large and clean and nicely decorated and in a good location to access the nearby reef for snorkelling. I would pick Villa 300 or 304 next time for privacy reasons, as villa 303 could see directly into our pool. These rooms are located on the western side of the island which is great to see sunsets from. The villa is separated into bathroom with outdoor shower, normal shower, seperate toilet, freestanding bath, bedroom, and living area. Bedroom is air conditioned and opens up onto the deck so you have a view of the ocean. The food was incredible - particularly LiBai (Chinese) and Long Island (Italian). We understand the resort has recently won an award for their food and we can see why. The food was also good at the Falhumaa, but the service was lacking on the night we visited most likely due to it being peak season. We arrived early and were told to wait outside in the heat, which didn’t happen at Long Island. We also ate at Cafe Del Sol for lunch and the Beach Bar. Food was good but service was always better on the busier side of the island. Cafe Del Sol had umbrellas and Beach Bar staff refused to put umbrellas out. Staff at all restaurants were accomodating and understanding with food allergies, which were noted on check in but seemed to need to be reminded when dining. Special mention to Jaavid at the breakfast buffet on the Falhumafushi island who went the extra mile with avocado and lemon at breakfast. Most restaurants are located at the other resort, which meant a bicycle ride or buggy ride away. But it was worth staying at Falhumafushi was a lot more quiet and less crowded. We understood the resort on this island to be childfree, but there did seem to be some families with kids so the rules must have changed? It’s good to allow up to 15 mins for the buggy to arrive in peak times. All restaurants were super clean. We had a slight hiccup on Christmas night, as we’d booked Long Island (which was confirmed) and there was special event scheduled there and we weren’t notified so we had to go to the buffet that evening. Also at one stage we were told by a staff member our choice of alcohol wasn’t included in our package when it was. I queried this with the staff member and advised him I could show him our package documents which listed this as included. We really shouldn’t have had to do this. In terms of activities, we booked the JetSki safari, which took us for snorkelling and to a sandbank. We were supposed to do this Christmas Day, but the staff recommended we reschedule due to weather. We were glad we did. It was well worth doing as the reef we were taken to was beyond the channel you could reach by swimming. We s

The Residence certainly had a name to upheld and both me and my wife spent a lot to visit this resort for both the snorkeling and relaxation. We were greeted and could not believe the size of both islands with the bridge intersecting both. Arrived to our room which was a beach villa, big and lots of space. Dining was different with it being all inclusive but no buffets to be seen, everything was al la carte, one warning though is that they don’t tell you, you can’t wear shorts at any of the restaurants! They do provide a sarong. However it was only until the last few days where this holidays unraveled. I woke up one morning with an itchy and bitten back only to find my sheets soiled with stains and blood when peeling the covers off. This is not what we expected from a five star resort. We had to move rooms at 11.30pm into a water villa. We were offered a complimentary meal however this took a turn for the worse when I got food poisoning, just before my flight back which made the 16hr flight back unpleasant The residence couldn’t offer that much compensation, they didn’t even to offer to wipe our dolphin cruise cost entirely. The bar staff lead by Ramesh were the highlight of this holiday but pretty poor from The residence especially when I had emailed to resolve before posting this review There are better resorts for the money in Maldives, I would avoid

My partner and I just got back from our honeymoon - we stayed 9 nights at The Residence Maldives Falhumaafushi and honestly, I don't think we could've picked a better holiday. The resort was breathtaking, the over water villas were amazing, the food was to die for, there was so much to do.... we went wake boarding, snorkelling with turtles, on a dolphin cruise, to the spa, beach bars, bike riding, stand up paddle boarding... It felt so exclusive...like we were the only ones on the island! The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We haven't stopped telling everyone about our trip since we've been back! Highly recommend!!

From the moment we arrived in this amazing paradise we immediately felt relaxed. The service here was absolutely wonderful, we experienced all of the dining experiences and I have to say we where blown away by the standards of service and amazing food. My top tip would be to dine overwater at The Falhumaa, we where very excited to see the baby sharks up close swimming in their natural habitat. We stayed in a water pool villa and again the standard of the accommodation was fantastic with the most amazing and uninterrupted views. Visiting The Maldives for the first time I can honestly say The Residence has completely stolen my heart. I can not wait to return, thank you to all of the amazing staff for making this a truly remarkable experience.

All the service staff were very friendly. The food at Li Bai Restaurant was delicious. The Jelly Beach is very beautiful.We really enjoyed it.

We went on our honeymoon here and LOVED it! All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The views are gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife. Highly recommend the dolphin cruise!! The guys found a pod of dolphins straight away that stayed with us the whole time. The food and drinks were also amazing, as was the cleaning and everything else. I 10000% want to come back here!!

We recently stayed at the residence in a water villa with our own pool room 315 if you want to enjoy the house reef then the rooms in this area are the best, the villas are very spacious with a separate living room and a massive bathroom with an inside and outside shower his and hers sinks and a large freestanding bath, minibar is stocked every day and fresh water bottles were provided plus tea/coffee. Our housekeeper was Aayesha who was lovely room was spotless and every evening she came with freshly baked cookies, our bed was decorated on our arrival in red flower petals and during our stay we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary where they left us a bottle of wine and wine glasses decorated our bed again saying Happy Anniversary, ran us a bubble bath with red flowers shaped in a heart made us an anniversary cake (and presented this when we dined in the French restaurant whereby they decorated the table with a red heart) Rasal at the beach bar made us a special sunset anniversary cocktail and provided tapas style nibbles, we had breakfast in the room one morning this was was delivered and set up with great care and attention to detail. Jaavid the restaurant manager was always welcoming the whole of the staff in the dining room restaurant were attentive and excellent (too many to mention) Whilst dining in the French restaurant Jaavid had arranged for us to feed the sharks such an amazing experience. Food and service in all restaurants was excellent we ate at the Chinese and Italian on the other island too. We did the dolphin sunset cruise which was amazing the staff at the dive centre were incredible my husband did his PADI dive certificate whilst there, we snorkelled in the sea and outside our water villa, plenty of house reef, the beach bar made a smoothie of the day every day and would bring you one whilst you were sat round the pool/on the beach they also brought fresh fruit or ice lollies too we had a swim up bar which was nice to sit and have a drink at. Rasal, Ramesh and Subhabrata at the beach bar all fantastic the barbecue on the beach was fantastic and the chef and his team were great. Check in was seamless big thanks to Archana, Saaidhu and Yusuf nothing was too much trouble, big thanks to all the staff who drive the buggies in particular Masum who stopped to show us the turtles on the bridge, big thanks to Jaavid he was amazing. The staff who picked us up from the airport and got us safely to the island were great too. Lots to do on the 2 islands we spent 6 days there had great weather and would return in the event if bad weather there is the library bar where they had a pool table and games a a dvd selection so you could take dvds back to your villa but we never needed this. The staff make this resort and greeted you with their hand on their heart which we found endearing.

We recently stayed at the Residence Maldives for our honeymoon and honestly could not recommend this place enough. The staff are absolutley amazing and make you feel welcomed from the very start. Yousef from Reception was an absolute star and always made sure we had exactly what we needed at all times throughout our stay. This also very much continued in the dining areas, Mi Mi, Jarvid and Ishan in the Dining Room as well as Ramesh in the Beach Bar, were always going above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. Their service and attention to detail was certainly 5 star! In terms of the island, there is also so much to do, there are quite a few great places to eat and drink along both Falhumaafushi and Dhigurah. The snorkeling was also absolutley amazing across both islands with marine life swimming in the clear blue water wherever you look. We loved staying here so much and certainly hope we are able to return again very soon.
