Thanks goes to Jackie, and her team for turning round a previous incident. Stayed for 2 nights, B&B with a pack lunch thrown in for our day out round the Loughs especially Lough Navar, we got an upgrade to a suite room 229. Although it was cold, we still went out on the balcony fantastic view day and night. Breakfast was also very good, with a great selection. Different take on the potatoes bread I'm used to but very nice, well done to manager and his team. Spent sometime in the SPA, I'm a larger man, and the bathrobes need to be bigger , thanks also goes to reception and the concierge team especially Neville who offered us a lift back in heavy rain from the golf club.

Group of us decided to go away for the 3 days of Ryder Cup weekend for morning golf and watch Ryder Cup live from America in the evenings with like minded people in a bustling atmosphere Lough Erne GOLF resort sold itself as the prime venue with 2 courses and one designed by Ryder Cup great Nick Faldo. Upon enquiry we were told we would play Castle Hume on Friday, Faldo course on Saturday & Sunday and stay in a lodge adjacent to Hotel with full access to facilities. We were advised that Castle Hume was not of a great standard but experiences on the Faldo course would be astounding Castle Hume clubhouse is on Lough Erne resort but 10 mins from Hotel so we went there first on arrival. There is about 6 driving bays across from clubhouse with trackman. Quiet reasonable too for balls. Short game practice near end of range was very poorly maintained and putting green very small. Course was as advised. Greens not great but playable track. Average to say the least. After finishing round eager to sample refreshments we went to Castle Hume clubhouse bar. Ryder Cup was on 3 average size tvs but no sound. Atmosphere like a morgue. Barman said the Loughside Bar in Faldo clubhouse was place to be for the golf as Castle Hume closed about 8pm. Food was ok so we decided to go Hotel and check into our lodge. Scenery including Faldo course around Hotel is spectacular Staff are very friendly. We got a courtside lodge. Two twin bed rooms and sizeable living area with good size TV. We decided to go Loughside bar as advised previously to watch the biggest weekend in GOLF in a so called GOLF resort. To our horror, there was a small maybe 43inch TV on a perch. To make matters worse the screen kept flickering and sound was appalling. We were bemused that there was no big screen or atmosphere as expected. Other golfers there too were shocked. Luckily enough we brought our own streaming devices so we decided to go back to our lodge and watch Ryder Cup. I had to drive to Enniskillen to get refreshments as we'd expected a lively bar with good atmosphere Saturday we got up eager to play Faldo course. We asked where the practice area was to warm up and we were advised that it was down near Castle Hume course 10 mins away. The shabby poorly maintained area from previous day. We taught the Faldo course would have a 5 star warm up area befitting the name. This should have rang alarm bells but in our eagerness we let it slide. Hired buggies at 45pounds extra and drove down. The Faldo course has spectacular views and lovely layout as expected. The bunkers were atrocious. Caving in on themselves. Superintendent had told us to rake and replace when in them but looked like no maintenance in a long time. The greens were forked and sanded. Wasn't a surprise for September but disappointing as we were not advised. Experience over next 2 days was tainted with the maintenance issues. Loughside bar afterwards both days for food which was only ok not 5 star standard. Chicken burge

We loved our stay at Lough Erne. A beautiful hotel in beautiful countryside, superb facilities, wonderful staff. The food at Catalina restaurant was excellent. Everyone we came in contact with was charming and helpful. We can’t wait to come back! (Big shout out to Neville who was so kind and helpful.)

I booked afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my grandmother. We had the most wonderful afternoon tea this afternoon. The food was fantastic, the tea was lovely and the service was excellent. Highly recommend for an afternoon treat.

We stayed at Lough Erne Resort for one night only. The room was beautiful, bed was soooooo comfortable, everything was clean, toilet was spotless. The staff were all extremely friendly. We had the most relaxing time enjoyed every meals there. PLEASE TRY THE 5 COURSE MEAL AT THE CATALINA! It was honestly one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives. Despite the typical rainy weather during our stay, the entire resort ground was magical, in fact the cool rainy atmosphere made it even more beautiful. If you were ever in the area, I highly recommend staying here for at least 2 nights to fully appreciate the beauty of the place and also utilise all the services this fantastic hotel has to offer.
