"Overall, the experience was positive, as we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and had a pleasant week, fulfilling our summer goal: to disconnect, relax, and enjoy ourselves. However, there were a few minor issues we didn't like. As I mentioned, the hotel is good, recently renovated, with large and comfortable rooms, good facilities (swimming pool, children's pool with slides, rooftop pool for adults, large cafeteria, etc.), and, in general, the buffet staff, in particular, were very friendly and pleasant. The issues: upon arrival, we were given a room upgrade, which we appreciated, but as soon as we entered, there was an unpleasant smell in both the hallway and our room. They used air freshener, a "scented bactericide" that lost its effectiveness after a few hours. We requested a room change, and although they moved us to a room next to our daughters' (who didn't have this problem), the situation was resolved. Everything would be normal if it weren't for the comments like "we don't know where the smell is coming from," "we have empty rooms blocked off because of it," "there's no solution," which leaves you with the feeling that "they knew, and if it works, it works," especially knowing that they've reoccupied the room. But the smell on the 5th floor is nauseating at times (my daughters had to stay there even though their room wasn't the problem). On the other hand, there are three or four people at the buffet who don't know anything about customer service or handling simple situations. A simple sentence would have solved everything, but this person left us hanging, rudely, and when I finally resolved the issue (yes, me), in two minutes and politely, she decided to talk to her colleagues. That day, and two more times, in their area (when these three or four people were present), they didn't clear our plates as they always had (and as everyone else did) and as they did at the surrounding tables. I repeat, it was only three or four people, as the rest of the staff were very friendly, pleasant, and helpful, just as we were, saying "thank you" when they cleared the plates, greeting them with a smile, and being polite. What I mean by this is that there were no harsh words, gestures, or rudeness on our part. In fact, we took it in stride and continued enjoying ourselves; it wasn't worth spoiling the moment. However, the reception staff we dealt with (there were more, of course, but I can't speak for everyone) were quite unfriendly. We overheard them talking about customers who were no longer there, making comments in front of other customers... a minimum level of courtesy and attention is expected in a business like this. We left, and when we handed over our cards and said we were leaving, the response was simply "okay." Not even a simple "How were you?" or "Have a good trip"... I think that's important for a business like this, but if no one is monitoring these things... Another thing I see, not just in this hotel, but in most, but no one in management or responsible for the hotel seems to take responsibility for it, is the poor behavior of people in the common areas. Children jumping barefoot on white leather (or imitation leather) sofas after the beach, elderly people lying down with their feet on the sofas, tables, and chairs... I think these are places we all go, and these things should be controlled. I REPEAT, our stay was good and we were comfortable, but it could have been better, without a doubt, with a little more attention and supervision. Finally, and this is NOT ABOUT THE HOTEL NOR IS IT AGAINST THEM, but I'm taking advantage of this channel to ask (I think many people agree): Why, when we pay for a hotel, with its taxes, and while we're in the same country, do we have to pay a tourist tax that not all places have? Tax on top of tax? I think it's an abuse and we should all protest about it."

"The place is a nightmare and a rip-off from start to finish, something that Pierre & Vacances management should address if they have any interest in keeping their brand's reputation from being dragged through the mud. Cleaning is nonexistent, and neither are the maintenance and renovation of facilities. The first apartment we were given was right next to the garbage room and kitchen of the pizzeria they own in the same apartment complex. The clothesline/kitchen overlooks the garbage cans. Illegal and unsanitary. There were even blood stains on the walls. We requested a change and were shown two more. None of them were in half-decent condition. One of them had a kitchen so small they had to put the refrigerator IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LIVING ROOM. A joke. With no other option in the middle of the high season, we settled for the apartment that seemed less bad. Old, dirty, smelly, and unmaintained. Indecent furniture, broken, dirty, patched-up armchairs, broken doors, stained, and peeling walls. There are no curtains or blinds in the bedrooms, only blackout curtains, so you have to choose between being seen by the entire neighborhood and letting in as much light as possible while you sleep, or complete darkness. The closets smell musty and have to be kept open constantly to air out. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms are so noisy they're unusable, especially at night. The kitchen counter filled with water from a leak in the wall, affecting the furniture and causing an intense smell of damp, and also next to one of the kitchen outlets. Dirty cutlery, dirty and incomplete crockery for six people. The refrigerator was full of dirty water. The state of repair and cleanliness of the living room was indescribable. The bathroom has no cabinets or shelves for toiletries. It only has a cantilevered marble countertop because there's nothing to hold it up. The terrace furniture was dirty, the patio was dirty. The pool was closed for two days for maintenance. We went to reception twice to report the deficiencies and to request a change of dishes and cutlery because we found them dirty. We filed the appropriate complaints with Pierre & Vacances and filed a complaint form. No apology from the company. For our part, after spending our holidays for many years at different Pierre & Vacances resorts, after this disastrous experience, we will never do so again."

"Lovely hotel, unfortunately the drain in the bathroom was blocked- water everywhere and for a four start hotel, it would be nice if they provide at a least a bottle of water in the room."
