This was a special experience. From the first second we were treated like VIPs. A refreshing towel, welcoming drinks. The room/free-standing guest appartment was luxurious and staff were even changed the bedding for the day (with beautiful pillows and such) and bedding for the night (sleep-ready). The safaris that can be arranged through the lodge are superb. Jordan was our guide and he made sure we didn't mis anything and gave us the time of our life. He knew a lot about the animals and plants. Halfway during the safaris we were every time treated to drinks and a morning/afternoon snack. Our first diner was special as we experienced a traditional braai in buffet style. Tables were placed around the campfire and provided a cosy way to meet other guests. The hostess, Veronica, was nice and made sure al our wishes came true.

We are so happy to have booked a 2-night stay at Orpen Kruger Lodge. What a beautiful place close to Orpen Gate and the entrance into the Manyeleti. Veronica and Donavan together with their super friendly team made sure our stay was close to perfect! Jeffery the Giraffe welcomed us in the gorgeous hall/dining/living area, where we had our delicious meals if the temperatures wouldn’t allow for outside dining in the beautiful Boma area. It was our first time staying there but it will for sure not be our last time!

We did a last minute booking as we were too tired to drive back to the house and wanted to do Kruger in the morning again and we didn’t regret that! We got the friendliest welcome on the stoop, welcome drinks and our rooms got sorted right away. Super clean, modern with white crisp bed linen. We got spoiled with a three course dinner and some amarula to end with. Food was great! Especially the springbok carpaccio . We woke up early to be at the gate when it opened (which literally took 1 min by car) and got breakfast packs with. We will defintely come back so we can fully enjoy this beautiful game lodge ❤️ thank you from Lisa, Lars and the girls

We had the most incredible stay for our safari. Would highly recommend! The food was amazing and the staff were incredible! They went above and beyond and made our stay feel like a home from home. Thank you team Orphan!

What a fabulous place to stay - so close to the Kruger, brilliant, caring and thoughtful staff who couldn't do enough for us. Fabulous business empowerment model involving the community in an authentic and meaningful way. Delicious food, great sightings in Manyalethi game reserve, lovely accommodation and a beautiful open, central recreation / eating area. And really good value for money given the location!

Exceptional stay. Joe and his team were simply amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel like old friends. We visited last year and thought it was good but this time it was exceptional. On a par with any 5 star hotel we have stayed in over the years. Rooms spacious, clean and with lovely crisp bed linen. Service, food, ambience, location and overall appearance were just superb. You can’t do better than this. Can’t think of one thing we didn’t like or would suggest changing. A must stay 2 minutes from Orpen Gate.

The Orpen's most important and impressive feature is a superb staff of friendly, helpful, professionals always at the ready to ensure a perfect stay. The hotel's common areas are lovely and the tastefully decorated bungalows are nicely sited for privacy. The property is well maintained and spotless throughout and small enough to make it feel personal. The meals, served either in an indoor dining room or in the boma, are skillfully prepared by a first rate chef team that always hit the culinary mark. Another big plus is the lodge is literally about one minute from the KNP Orpen perimeter gate. All in all, we got more than we hoped for with our 3 day stay!
