The bathroom is too crowded, shared by men and women. I was busy in the morning and couldn't rush. I hope there would be more space. The breakfast is good and provided free of charge, including eggs, juice and milk.

Really good hostel. Has had major improvements since last visit last year.new showers -- more than 1 and decent toilet cubicles. Will be back again. Free coffee, free breakfast although again I didn't get time for breakfast. Well run hostel, pub next door doing great ale, just around corner from main railway station

Baxter Hostel . Easy Location From Waverley Train Station , And Bus Station At St Andrews Square . Very Friendly Atmosphere . Quite Reflection If You Require To Chill . Rooms Can Vary In Size , But Very Comfortable New Showers And Toilets Weeks Old . Breakfast Is A Continental Style , Eggs , Toast , Cereal's Juice. Access To Amities Museums , Castle Holyrood , In Walking Distance Or Take The Tour Bus .

I love the location of the hostel. The staff, the cleanliness and the breakfast, 24 hour reception is such a bonus. Free tea and coffee, all day. The weather was exceptional cold when I was in Edinburgh but the hostel was cosy and warm. Great Value for money. I would recommend it
