Durham Riverside Apartments

We have just returned from a fabulous long weekend in Durham where we stayed in the most amazing apartment. It is truly a wonderful place to stay in Durham, being spotlessly clean, extremely well appointed and tastefully decorated and is centrally located and close to all Durham attractions and sights. It also has secure underground parking with lift access to the accommodation if required. The hosts, Chris and Wendy have literally thought of everything to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay, and were very patient and understanding when we arrived later than we had intended. They also had a range of provisions waiting for us so that the next morning we were able to sit out on the superb terrace overlooking the river and eat breakfast as we watched the rowers sail by. I cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough to anyone who is looking to stay in Durham and we will definitely be back for a return visit.

What a fabulous apartment. Very comfortable and pristine. Chris was there to welcome us and show us around. Lovely to have some complementary wine and food waiting for us. The location is perfect for the town and university and we enjoyed watching the rowers on the river. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Perfect place to stay in Durham!!! Perfection!!! I wanted to move in! Great location to everything, all modern appliances and furniture, kind and generous hosts who left us milk and juice in the fridge, croissants and cookies, and a fantastic bottle of wine! And lots and lots of coffee/espresso pods!! A gorgeous walk-out balcony to the river and bridge view. This place is amazing!!! I will probably be renovating my kitchen now! Ha!!!

This is our 3rd stay at Chris and Wendy's magnificent apartment. We stayed at the duplex apartment as the bed configuration suits our needs. We have also stayed at the other apartment available and it is equally luscious. The apartment is , by far, the cleanest and best stocked accommodation we have ever stayed in.....and we do travel a fair bit!! Beautiful food 'essentials' provided, coffee pods, milk, bread, eggs, jam, butter, croissants, oh, and a bottle of Malbec thrown in!!!!.......just a complete haven. Our son is studying at Durham and he adores visiting us here when we come: a splash of luxury!! haha! Location is fabulous as it's a hop, skip and jump to Durham centre, cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Thanks Chris and Wendy for your hospitality and we'll see you again soon. We are hoping to bag these apartments for our son's graduation in 2025!!!
