We used this hotel as a stopover on our back to the ferry terminal. It's well situated being just off the main road. Although the room we were in is beginning to look tired, it was clean and comfortable as always. No air-con but a fan was available. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Angela at breakfast and a big thank you to Lewis the champion porridge maker. Have used this hotel before and will certainly use again.

We had a great experience at this hotel great parking friendly and helpful reception staff the room was very comfortable with great mattress breakfast and evening meals were served to our requirements break staff Angela and Anna were very helpful and friendly

Over the years I have stopped at many Premier Inns across the UK. I have always been happy to do so. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, as well as being reasonably priced. I usually stay for at least two days. The rooms are always serviced daily, with fresh towels, and the room cleaned a tidied. Not at the Dumfries branch. When I mentioned this to the receptionist he said that I hadn’t requested it. I have never had to. When we arrived there was one person in front of us. It took over twenty minutes to book them in. When I mentioned this to the receptionist she thought it was hilarious, with a good giggle. There seems to be a lack of professionalism at Dumfries. I won’t be stopping there again.

Location not the best for visiting Dumfries if you don't want to drive, but there is a bus stop with fairly frequent buses outside (Check Timetable). It is a fair walk to Dumfries but is good for the fitness levels. Our room was excellent very clean. It was very warm during our stay but the room did have a good fan. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was excellent in particular Angela who was cheery and helpful. On the whole an above average Premier Inn only slight downside is location.

Staff were friendly , Hotel was clean , great location . Breakfast was lovely , lots to choose from but the Sausages were delicious. Angela and Heather that were on at Breakfast times were great . Angela was so helpful with places to go and visit and they always had a smile .

Our room was well serviced and the bed was oh so comfortable. Sadly the bar closes at 2030hrs and the choice of whiskies was pretty poor for a Scottish bar. The star of the stay was Angela who looked after us at breakfast. What a lovely, helpful lady. Thanks Angela xx

It was such a friendly place and everyone was nice especially a lady called Angela in the restaurant, she helped us plan our day with directions and advice over breakfast, a truly fantastic asset to you Premier Inn…..

We stayed over night on our way to holiday , when we arrived realised that we had forgotten to bring a certain breakfast material for our son who for want of some issues is a very fussy eater and I asked at reception if there was anywhere nearby that I could go and get what I was looking for , Claire on reception was first class and went spoke to her manager Karlene who came through and not only sourced what we were looking for but managed to get us some. When I asked how much I was due I was simply told there was no charge and that it was a pleasure to help out and if I wanted to simply make a donation to the charity box in the reception area which I did . Absolute first class, can’t compliment them enough. A credit to the company.
