Premier Inn Dumfries

Had breakfast at Premier Inn this morning and have to praise Angela who was managing the self-service area. She kept everything perfectly stocked, coffee machines running smoothly, and was quick to clean up any spills. What impressed me most was how Angela went above and beyond - friendly and efficient, greeting guests with a smile and making sure everyone had what they needed. She kept the area spotless and organized despite the busy morning rush. The food was excellent as usual, but Angela's attention to detail and helpful attitude really made the difference. She turned a standard self-service breakfast into something special with her excellent service! Premier Inn is lucky to have such dedicated staff like Angela.

Lovely breakfast served by friendly staff! Heather and Anna were lovely hosts and quickly replenished stock on the continental selection as soon as it started running low. Breakfast cooked to order, even managed to match my fussy requirements of well done sausages and runny yolk on my egg (think the chef’s name was Reece - thanks mate!!)

The room was not cleaned properly, I have put a complaint in on 7th September and no one has got back to me. There was jelly sweets under the bed and crystal stones found on the floor which my child found. The restaurant was very poor the seats were all worn and had sticky brown stuff on which marked my clothes. I have photos of this. I ordered a steak in 6th September which was all fat. I couldn’t even chew it. I complained and all that was said was “sorry about that” I still had to pay for a meal that was not eatable. We stay at Premier Inn on a regular basis and I am very disappointed with this stay

Although the reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the bed was comfortable, for what it was, it was EXORBITANTLY OVERPRICED!!! The public areas were down at heel and grubby, as were the carpet and chair in my bedroom. At breakfast (the only meals I took in the hotel - also very overpriced), the tables were sticky! Despite leaving the "please make up my room" (or equivalent) hanger on my bedroom door, my room was not made during my absence during the day. Breakfast staff, although perfectly friendly were slow and rather inattentive. Overall, I would NOT recommend Premier Inn Dumfries for a stay, while there are other, cheaper, nicer alternatives in Dumfries!!

The usual Premier Inn, located on the outskirts of the city with good road links. Clean and the beds are great. Strangely the opening times of the on site pub/restaurant were 5pm till 10pm during the week and 5pm till 9pm on Sunday. The food was good, especially the breaky. Our car club stayed at this hotel twice during our road trip around the SW of Scotland and we were looked after really well especially by Amber and Angela, Thanks.

Travelled as a MG group and used this hotel on 2 occasions. Fantastic stay with all the staff being so friendly. Excellent service with the food and such a speedy service. Thank you all.
