My twin room was dark and humid. The room had a window but it was out to some kind of shaft so I didn’t want to open it. The a/c worked well. The bed was ok except it was way too short for someone 6’4”. The best part of staying there was the 7-11 at the entrance. Staff was friendly. TV remote didn’t fully function with the volume and on-off.

Great value for the price! The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help me with everything I needed. Highly recommended.

Excellent Location, Clean Room and Relaxing Stay. Near in the airport.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Golden Gate Suites, and our experience was truly memorable. The location was perfect, putting us within walking distance of major attractions and some fantastic local restaurants. The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the comfortable bed and the scenic views from our window, which really added a nice touch. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed, from restaurant recommendations to transportation options. The hotel also had a fantastic breakfast spread each morning, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. Overall, Golden Gate Suites was an ideal choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend it for couples looking for a romantic getaway in a central, convenient location. We’d love to return!

I loved the hotel location, very accessible. However, for the cleanliness it is 2stars for me and my partner since we’ve seen a lot of bugs in our room. I loved that they have free water (water dispenser) in the hallway. Overall the hotel is affordable and okay to stay if you are in a budget.

The room size is fine.. It's clean, no bad odor. Their shampoo with conditioner sachet is better compared to other hotels.. The location is good.. 7/11 is just downstairs and there are a lot of restaurants nearby.. The Port going to Siquijor is just a walking distance..

Golden Gate Suites is in the heart of Dumaguete's old business center. There is not much ambiance to the place . You are only a 5 minute tricycle ride from the main boulevard along the coast or 5 minutes to Robinson's Mall. But for the price of the room (which was inexpensive) the stay was very acceptable. The front desk personnel were very courteous, the room was very quiet and clean with simple furnishings. The water pressure was fine with the hot water unit working just fine. Drinking water (hot and cold) was available free but you needed to go outside the room to get the water from a dispenser in the hallway. A/C worked well, Wi-Fi worked well, in fact nothing was broken or non-functioning. If you want a place for the basic needs of a bed and good shower for a short stay at a very low price, this is an excellent option to consider. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel was convenient as it is located at the center of the city. Room was alright price wise. Has a Seven Eleven next to it which is a plus.
