Stayed in a room overlooking the atrium gardens. This is a unique and beautiful space with a fish pond which my son was mesmerised by. These rooms also have an internal balcony overlooking the atrium which is a lovely feature. The bathroom was shiny new and immaculate. Some parts of the hotel are dated and a bit tired. It’s nice to have a swimming pool but it is very small so if there’s more than about 7 people in it they can’t let you in. Good choice at breakfast buffet of different fruits, pasties and usual cereals and hot items. Service at the desk and breakfast is friendly and welcoming. Guys at the bar didn’t smile, maybe just trying to be cool.

Very outdated hotel. Bedroom was poor extractor fan from restaurant going from 10.00 until 10.00 so we had the noise from that every day. A very outdated hotel that needs refurbishment. No air conditioning, we had to open the windows, which meant we had the noise from the restaurants extractor fan. Everything was old. Sauna had a padlock on it. Worse hotel we have stayed at. It is advised as a luxury hotel.so very disappointed.

First time on the island for my mum and sisters so I was hopeful we were going to have a good time, well the hotel was amazing, and the staff - particularly Mandi, Sammie and Carys on reception - were all wonderful , giving advice on travel tickets and everything we asked as first time visitors (I was last there in the 80’s) breakfast was fabulous and our room was an Atrium room which was incredible , sitting out on the balcony on an evening overlooking the indoor garden ❤️

Amazing hotel, great staff and the best breakfast , we stayed in one of the atrium rooms, large room very modern, fridge with water and milk, tea, coffee and biscuits, small balcony with table and chairs super comfy bed . Nice bathroom. Breakfast room with sea views, best buffet breakfast, hot food and such a great choice, of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruits and juices, even an indoor pool and gym. Great location and helpful staff. A great stay , many thanks to you all.

Checked into this hotel to celebrate the wife's birthday. A nice sea-view room was allocated , very spacious with a double bed and a bath and shower. A nice bay window with a sofa and tv and a fridge. A hairdryer was also available in the room. Plenty of storage space. Breakfast was available in the Harris restaurant on the 1st floor. This was buffet style and offered a full English breakfast, continental breakfast and from the kitchen Manx Kippers. In the evening you could eat in The Sir Norman Wisdom Bar, which offers a wide range of drinks and traditional British Cuisine or for something extra special I strongly recommend the Bonzai Asian restaurant, offering Asian dishes from Lao, Thai , Filipino ,Japanese to Malaysian food...it is advisable to book in advance for Bonzai. A slight issue with the bathroom was sorted within 24 hours and our thanks go out to the following , you made our stay very enjoyable....Zowie....Katie......Claire......Mandy.......Karen.......Nick.........Kara.......and the proprietors of Sir Normans and Bonzai....Melody and James. The hotel also boasts an indoor pool and gym. Look forward to returning in the not too distant future

This majestic fronted building on the Douglas promenade gives off grandeur but sadly it's not! The hotel has a unique attrium which has a number of balconied bedrooms overlooking the mature plants, fish ponds and fountains, however these bedrooms are dark, airless, very hot coupled with low ceilings making the room feel claustrophobic. The interior hallways in the hotel have worn dated design carpets. We were told that housekeeping would only service our rooms every 3 days which was the case during our 4 night stay. Our bathroom appeared to have recently been renovated with a roomy walk in shower. The breakfast room at the front of the hotel lacked seating at peak times and the coffee served via a machine was unappealing. The Sir Norman hotel bar was dark and airless making it feel like a dungeon.

We had a short stay in the Sefton the staff were amazing it was my husbands birthday and they went above and beyond to make his day a big shout out especially Margaret on reception and Zoe all the staff were great though the only downside to the hotel was the encore bar I had two drinks and was charged different by two members of staff and I don’t know the name of one of the bar staff but he does need to be a bit more friendly he was a bit miserable and off but other than that it was a lovely stay thank you and we will be back
