From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by its cleanliness and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the staff. The service is nothing short of excellent—they even offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off to the train station, which made our journey so much easier. The hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The room is spacious, with a big TV screen and a cozy sofa for relaxation. The thoughtful amenities include a heated floor and bed, which were perfect for the cold weather. Even the toilet seat has a heater and a bidet, making it incredibly convenient and comfortable. They also provide additional oxygen in the room—a great touch, especially for those who might feel the effects of high altitude. The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking! Imagine waking up to stunning mountain scenery, lush green grasslands, and sheep grazing peacefully—it’s like a dream come true. To make our stay even more special, they upgraded our room for free to one with a luxurious bathtub! For Muslim travelers, this hotel is incredibly accommodating—they provided us with a delicious vegetarian breakfast, so we felt completely at ease. However, please be mindful when sitting on the sofas as their adorable, friendly dog loves to sit there too and might come to greet you. Their dog is super cute and playful, adding a warm and homey touch to the stay! One of the most delightful surprises was that the hotel provides traditional Chinese costumes for free! We had so much fun dressing up and taking beautiful photos. It made us feel like royalty from an ancient Chinese dynasty—truly a unique and unforgettable experience. Despite the language barrier, the staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs. They went above and beyond to assist us, offering suggestions, pinpointing locations, and ensuring we had everything we needed. A big thumbs up to the staff member whose picture I shared (unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name). The hotel owner should truly give her credit for her exceptional service—it made our stay even more memorable! This hotel is located near the stunning Napahai Lake, not Dukezong Ancient City. If you’re planning to stay close to Dukezong, this might not be the best choice. But trust me, you don’t need to stay near Dukezong—this hotel is so good, it’s worth being a little further away. The peaceful surroundings, incredible service, and top-notch amenities make it more than worth it! Another fantastic perk is the nearby e-bike rental. We rented bikes and had an amazing time exploring the beautiful Napahai area and enjoying the serene countryside. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for travelers from Malaysia. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Trust me, you won’t regret staying here—it’s a memory you’ll cherish forever! Sorry I don’t take too much photo, a lot of videos only. So cannot share here.

JJill.limjyHighly recommended. Right in the heart of the old town, this homestay was really convenient for our short time in Shangri-la in terms of food options and didi pick ups. We absolutely loved the view from our room. Service was also amazing. We were worried about altitude sickness, but the owner assured us that we could message him at any time if we were unwell and he would arrange for the oxygen supply in our room. The lady boss also gave us tips for our visits to the monastery and very kindly got us a ride to the airport at the end of our trip. If there was one thing to complain about, it would get that the bed was too firm for our liking. But it wasn't a big deal for just two nights.

VVy Anh NguyenThis is by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to China. The hotel is equipped with all modern amenities, especially the toilet with an automatic bidet (something that’s not found anywhere else in China). The room was incredibly cozy with modern heating facilities, and the host even provided an oxygen machine (though I didn’t actually need to use it). I truly felt that it was worth every penny for the two nights I spent here. One of the highlights was the adorable and friendly Ragdoll cat that lives here! The hotel owner even allowed us to bring the cat into our room to play, and it was just so sweet and playful. Moreover, the host offered us a free pick-up and drop-off service at both the train station and the airport, even though it was 7 in the morning! I honestly have no complaints about this hotel. If you want to enjoy a fantastic stay in Shangrila, book this hotel now!

GGuest UserShangri-La Donglixia B&B is definitely the most healing plateau habitat I have ever lived in! From the moment I entered the door, I was conquered by the clean environment. The pure white bedding was fluffy like clouds, the bathroom corners were wiped in real time, and even the floor heating floor seams were dust-free. It was a delight for people with mysophobia. What's more surprising is that the room equipment is super considerate, the humidifier relieves dryness, the smart toilet is warm like spring, and the best thing is that each room is equipped with an oxygen generator! When you have high altitude sickness, you can lie in front of the French window while breathing oxygen, watching the yaks like moving black pearls on the boundless grassland, and the blue sky and white clouds turn into flowing oil paintings in the window frame. This experience is unique. The ”star employee” of the B&B must have a name! This fluffy Alaska, like a dandelion, squats at the gate of the courtyard to greet guests every morning, and the cute look of holding a toy and asking for a touch is heart-warming. When you are tired of playing, you can go to the coffee shop next door - the wooden space is filled with the aroma of freshly ground coffee. The hand-brewed coffee by the proprietress is mellow and smooth, paired with freshly baked desserts. Sitting in front of the panoramic glass window and watching the changing light and shadow on the grassland, you will feel like you are in a Swiss town.

GGuest UserFeifan Hotel is conveniently located in Shangri La Old Town (Dukezong) and is fully accessible by car/taxi, which can drop you off right in front of the hotel. The hotel is tastefully decorated, paying homage to the town's Tibetan's roots, which is what makes the hotel very charming to me. The room itself is very clean comfortable to stay in, the amenities and kits provided are more than plentiful. The floors in front of the bathroom are also heated, which is very surprising (I wasn't expecting that). The loveliest aspect of my stay would have to be the kind hotel staff who were very helpful and welcoming to us starting from our arrival (the cups of warm tea was very relieving during the cold night). A couple of hotel staff members can converse in English, which was very helpful for us as we are foreign tourists. I appreciated the conversations I had with a staff member during breakfast about the various foods that was on offer. I also appreciated the little gift that was given to us when we checked out as the hotel staff seemed to notice that I did enjoyed several cups of butter tea during my breakfast and the help with arranging a car to transport us to the train station. Overall, I am very impressed with our stay here and would not hesitate at all to recommend anyone to stay here. It is worth it!

It is super warm, and you can walk around the house in short sleeves, which is rare. There are 3 features of his home: 1. Unbeatable scenery, lying in the room and looking at the snow-capped mountains, it is very beautiful! 2. There are 6 cats, which are very cute and clingy 3. In addition to B&B accommodation, there is also a restaurant. The stir-fried dishes are also delicious, recommended!

GGuest UserI saw reviews online saying that the boss was very nice, so I placed an order. When we arrived at the station, the boss came to pick us up in person. The boss is really nice, warm and friendly, and takes the initiative to introduce Shangri-La tour routes. It also specifically explains the regional environment and safety. We are going to charter a car for a tour the next day. The boss contacted the car rental company to reserve a vehicle. The next day, the tourist spots were sent to the driver’s mobile phone and he sent us to the car. I wish the boss a full customer base and more and more prosperity.

JjshanghaiWe stayed at the Wake Up Mountain Hotel in June 2024 for a week. The Hotel is wonderful. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are excellent, and the view from the windows of the mountains is fantastic. The Hotel also has a viewing area (and a bar) on the roof, providing the best sunrise view of the entire region's mountains. The restaurant has a great menu and excellent food; it is the best restaurant in the area. Finally, the staff Wenwen and others are wonderful, friendly and helpful. They arranged car and driver tours for us to travel around the area and addressed our requests. Excellent stay. They are highly recommended. Ken and Jacqueline
