"One of the worst hotels in Darjeeling. Extremely run down with absolutely no service. This heritage hotel is so heritage, that rats love it. On the 1st night of our stay, we found rats in our DELUXE SUITE that we had booked for 11.5k per night. We were travelling with my 7 month daughter and we were terrified. Does this so called “heritage” hotel know the risks of having rats? Millions of infections could have attracted the baby. Extremely pathetic service in breakfast, lunch and dinner as well. Kindly avoid the hotel at all costs. We demanded that they shift us to the “new” wing which is a little bit better than the old wing. The kitchen and eating area is in the old wing which is not in a fit state to be called a hotel. It’s also not very close to Mall Road, it’s a 5min walk and to reach there you have to walk through a very thin shady lane. Not safe at nights. When they tried to find the rats that had entered our room, they removed the huge pile of dust which was sitting under the sofas and our beds. If you have asthma or any dust allergies, best to look for better options. Mayfair I hear is really good. Please don’t waste your money and health here. Safety rating - 0.1/10 Cleanliness - 0.1/10 Food - 0.1/10 Service - 0.1/10"

The food was delicious, with a variety of flavorful options to suit every palate. Above all, the staff were exceptional – attentive, warm, and incredibly helpful. I called and asked them to find it, and they called back shortly after, happily informing me they'd found it. "I chose Trinity Hotel Lexicon Matigara for a small anniversary stay but was disappointed by several issues. I had specifically requested a room away from the lift with a good view, yet the assigned room was directly in front of the lift and faced the side of the building with a poor view. The room location caused repeated noise and lack of privacy, which affected our celebration. While the staff were polite, the room allocation felt careless and not in line with the booking request. If this is how room assignments are handled at this property, I’m hesitant to book again. I hope management improves communication and respects guest preferences so future stays better match expectations."

"First impression: reached at night and had to walk up the steep hill with our bags and kids wasn't the best impression. However, when we reached the receptionist we were nice and hospitable. We checked in and when we lifted the mattress we saw some hairs still in the bed. We realized the sheets werent changed! They just remade the bed with the previous clients bedsheets! More hairs inside and on pillows. We told them to change and they did, but sadly some of our friends sheets could not be changed that night. Linens need an urgent upgrade, we couldn't use their towels. The facility is good if maintained well, sadly maintenance is something they need to really work on. Feel sorry for the Plants on the balcony which were dried and almost dying. Need to water then at least. Breakfast and food are okay. The best part is they serve with a smile so, it compensates somehow. Staff are nice and attend to needs when asked for, hospitable so a plus for the staff. The ground floor conference hall is really sad! I hope they clean their windows and doors at least. It doesn't suit the hotel at all. It's just too dirty to be called a conference hall. I hope the management team takes this positively and attends to a few of the ingredients observed comments . Need serious maintenance as the property is really well built and pretty. Linens need urgent new ones like bedsheets and rooms that need to be cleaned well. Spider webs in the rooms don't look premium. Side frames need a clean as well."
