This is my 2nd time spending Christmas at Elgin with my family, and I can truly say that we are thoroughly enjoying our time! From the ambience to the delicious food, it feels like home!! The staff never fail to have a smile on their face and their hospitality is commendable. The rooms are spacious and have the same vintage charm like the rest of the spaces in the property. Not to forget, the views from each room is breathtaking!!! We are absolutely loving our stay and we can't wait to create more memories with Elgin!

Its a heritage property in a very nice area of Darj. However, the property is poorly maintained and it has musty smell in the rooms. Also the plumbing and maintenance is wanting in the rooms.

This would have been a 4 star review had it not been for the fact that last night they decided to paint the room next to ours in the middle of the bloody night meaning we got no sleep. This is not acceptable. It’s a heritage hotel and the rooms are very interesting and the service is impeccable. The food is good although I didn’t really need a 4 course meal. I did like the silver teapots for the tea, complete with tea cost! There are lots of interesting photos on the walls and the furniture is period.The heritage style extends to the beds, however, which had a hard and lumpy mattress.

I had cheeked in with my wife and 10months daughter at elgin darjeeling on 17/9/24 (premium attic room) at the time of checkout we had boarded the hotel taxi for our return journey but the staff came running and stopped us got all our luggage out and stated that the room clock was missing and started searching our luggage without any permission. It was really embarrassing moment for me and my family in front of other guests and staff. At the end they found nothing and just concluded with a sorrry. Such an embarrasment is really no one can ever think of. It was a very uncomfortable moment for me n wife. In-spite of our small daughter with us they even checked her bag which contained milk bottles. I had booked the most premium room in your property and they blamed me of stealing a table watch and found nothing in our luggage. Please take strict action against the staff of property and no compensation can fullfil the embarrasment my family had to face
