We had an absolutely amazing stay at Taj Chia Kutir Darjeeling! Nestled in the heart of the hills, the tranquil atmosphere was perfect for unwinding. The tea plantation trek was a highlight, offering breathtaking views and a serene experience. The free yoga classes were a wonderful addition, helping us feel completely rejuvenated. The food was delicious, with a variety of flavorful options to suit every palate. Above all, the staff were exceptional – attentive, warm, and incredibly helpful. It was truly a memorable stay, and we can't wait to return!

Fantastic location. Great place to stay. Warm staff and good food. Nice warm pool. Trekking in Makaibari tea estate was an amazing experience. Ideal venue for a marriage for anyone planning an exotic destination wedding with plenty to do.

Went to the Taj Chia Kutir to celebrate my 5th wedding anniverary and I cannot recommend it enough. It is one of tghe most beautiful properties and the staff are the most wonderful you will encounter. They have a tea tasting session in the afternoons that you MUST attend, and high tea served in the restaurant ***** with a game of Tambola with Darjeeling tea up for grabs. Do visit the Makaibari factory, and they offer Tea Trails, a paid journey through the tea fields which is an absolute must. Dinner at the Sonar Gaon is recommended and do try their Daal Sonargaon. They have a temperature controlled pool and a wonderful spa as well. The bar had live music every night as well.

The property is ideally located in a very good location with a background of Himalayan mountains. Room, restaurant and spa are good . We had a very nice experience. Mr Sarkar at reception, Ms Diya at restaurant, Mr Sadrak at spa treated us well. Thanks to all the staff members.

Rates should be more affordable so can visit frequently All staff members are the assets and they give the stay experience to a memorable one as where always helpful and I observed that each and every staff member where all rounder and where serving the guest in each and every sector

We were very well looked after at the Chia Kutir. The rooms and housekeeping was exceptional. We however were unlucky with the view as the entire place had a mist cover through the day and hence did not explore the property. In the restaurant the 1st night’s dinner did not meet Taj standards . There was a delay in the service and some orders came way after a few other dishes. The fried rice was particularly salty. We registered a complaint and after that they really got their act together and went out of their way to try and make sure that we had absolutely nothing to complain about
