"An absolutely perfect stay. The InterContinental Dalian boasts luxurious, elegant, and grand facilities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and inviting, offering breathtaking views of the East Port shipyard and the ocean. Its prime downtown location provides incredibly convenient access to subway and bus lines, and taxi rides around the city are also very affordable. It's just a short walk to the historic century-old buildings around Zhongshan Square. Check-in was a breeze, and the service was attentive and incredibly warm.
A special thank you to DANA at the front desk for her excellent service. I also appreciate the doormen who always helped me with my bags from the taxi. Finally, kudos to the F&B department for the thoughtful gesture of delivering red date and pear soup to my room in the evening, which was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. "This hotel was a pleasant surprise. I originally booked it for the pool, and considering its age, my expectations weren't very high. But to my surprise, from the moment we got out of the car, the concierge staff proactively opened doors and handled our luggage every single time, without fail. In stark contrast, when we later moved to the Four Seasons, we had to carry our own bags inside before anyone offered assistance! While the rooms are a bit dated, it's clear the housekeeping team does a very thorough job. Even my mother, who is a neat freak, found it satisfactory. In contrast, at the Four Seasons, she immediately spotted dust on the glass and high up in the wardrobe! The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting anywhere. The complimentary fish jerky and candies were delicious! There's also a morning market just a hundred meters walk away. We had a minor issue on our second day, but the Guest Services Manager resolved it very professionally. If I have the chance to visit Dalian again, I will definitely choose the New World! Expensive doesn't always mean best, but we all unanimously agreed that the New World offers the best value for money."

"I was extremely satisfied!
The front desk staff were very welcoming and even gave me a small gift. I was also very pleased with the room itself. The bed was incredibly comfortable – very soft but I didn't feel tired at all after sleeping on it. As someone with a herniated disc who usually can't sleep on soft beds, I felt great after a night's rest, and the pillow height was just right.
The bathroom and shower had excellent dry/wet separation, the disposable slippers were thick, and they even provided laundry detergent and complimentary bottled water. My room wasn't huge, but it was incredibly well-equipped, and everything felt high-quality!
It's probably less than a 10-minute walk to the subway station, which I found very convenient!"

"The location is incredibly convenient. It's less than a 3-minute walk from the Exit of Metro Line 2, so even with luggage, it's not a strenuous walk at all. There are many popular spots nearby, all within a 2km radius, including Dalian Shopping Mall, Xianshengsheng Sushi, Aoshen, and more.
The service was exceptional. They offered complimentary fruit upon afternoon check-in. We asked if we could receive it later in the evening since we were going out, and they happily agreed. When we returned to the hotel at night, we found the fruit already placed in our room. It was perfectly timed as we were thirsty – such a thoughtful gesture!
The overall environment was quiet and spotless. For its price category, it offers excellent value for money and a truly comfortable experience."

"This hotel is a hidden gem for families with kids, making our stay easy and heartwarming! My biggest concern when traveling with a three or four-year-old is finding suitable accommodation, but this hotel completely put my worries to rest. They thoughtfully provided kids' toothbrushes, slippers, and a small plush toy. The room was spacious, and the bed height was perfect for little ones to get in and out of. The breakfast at the Horizon Club was also excellent. During our stay, the Guest Relations Manager, Lisa, checked in with us daily to see how we were doing, which was a very thoughtful and meticulous touch! This hotel gets full marks and is definitely a top choice for families with kids. We'll definitely stay here again next time!"

The sea-view room was an amazing surprise. The enormous floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of Xinghai Bay and the cross-sea bridge, bringing the magnificent scenery right into the room. Watching the sunset over the sea in the evening was incredibly romantic.
The service was impeccable – warm and attentive. They were prompt during meals, and the breakfast spread was rich, even featuring local Dalian specialties. Its proximity to Xinghai Square makes getting around very convenient, and the sky garden in the common area is a hidden gem for scenic views.

"I was truly touched by the thoughtful service at this hotel; I felt so well taken care of throughout my entire stay. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the comfortable atmosphere instantly melted away my travel fatigue. For just 20 RMB, you can enjoy unlimited rides on the shuttle bus all day, which conveniently connects all gates from 1 to 7. Gates 3 and 7 offer water activities, while Gate 6 features a charming beach dotted with pink tents. If you're looking for dining options, Gates 1 and 2 have a wider selection. In the evenings, Gate 3 also hosts vibrant stage performances. The hotel rooms are generously sized. Photos 1, 7, and 10-13 below were all taken from the hotel balcony, showcasing the stunning views. In the evenings, you can clearly hear the lively buzz from the Gate 3 performances, and at 9:30 PM, you're treated to the spectacular fireworks display from Discoveryland. It's also a perfect spot to catch the sunrise in the morning.

GGuest UserVery clean hotel, close to airport, room is big enough, except very little smoking smell which is typical of hotel in northeast China and much better than other hotels; I love the free laundry and BF, laundry provide detergent plus dryer, BF is rich including both western and Chinese style, fruit, drink, toast, egg, sausage and Chinese soup, vegetables, dumplings, noodles, and more. The BF may not as many options as 4 stars hotel but definitely good enough and fresh and clean.

GGuest UserOur room was upgraded at the reception to Suit Room for free because we traveled with kids. The hotel is very nice, the design of room is cozy and relaxing. The stuff is really friendly, there was manager who spoke in English very well. He was professional and very kind. He made our stay comfortable. Chinese breakfast could be improved and include some European dishes.

GGuest UserThe hotel is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Exit D of 西安路(Xianlu) Station, and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to the airport.
Right in front of the hotel, there’s a nightclub and a street lined with food stalls mainly frequented by locals. It gets lively at night. I stayed in a room facing the street, but since it was on the 6th floor, the noise from outside wasn’t too bothersome.
However, the soundproofing between rooms isn’t great. I could hear sounds from neighboring rooms.
The shower and toilet facilities are basic. Note that in some rooms, the bathroom isn’t fully separated from the rest of the space.
Two 500ml bottles of water were provided and replenished daily. Towels were replaced during daily cleaning, but it seemed like the sheets weren’t changed though that might be different for longer stays.
There’s no fridge in the room, but you can ask the front desk to store things in their staff refrigerator if needed.
Foreigners can stay here without any issues. During my 3-night stay, there was a different staff member at the front desk each day, but everyone was friendly and helpful. They actively assisted me when I had any issues, and I’m really grateful for that.
Even if you don’t speak Chinese, using a translation app works fine. For basic things like check-in and check-out, you won’t need Chinese at all.

A big thank you to the front desk staff at China Southern Airlines Pearl Hotel Dalian – Xiao Gu, Xiao Yang, and Xiao Gu – as well as all the shuttle drivers. The restaurant service was also fantastic; they even delivered food to my room, and the meals were delicious. A special shout-out to Ms. Jiang from housekeeping for her assistance late at night, which I truly appreciated.

1109362****I really like Kempinski. While we were still in Harbin, they called to ask about our needs and proactively offered us a complimentary upgrade to a VIP twin room. The room was huge, the bathroom was large (about 10 square meters, bright and airy with a window), and the wardrobe was spacious enough to fit large suitcases. The tea area was a separate space, offering privacy and comfort. There were plenty of surfaces to neatly organize various items, which was fantastic (a large bay window ledge, a shelf above the headboard, and various shelves around the TV). Additionally, they noticed we drink a lot of water and provided us with many bottles daily.
All their services are excellent, the hotel environment is great, and the location is convenient for getting around. Our stay there was a very good experience. For dining and local specialties, Dalian Mall is just a 5-6 minute walk away. The first floor sells various snacks, freshly prepared cooked food, and local products. Before heading back to Shanghai, we went there to buy all sorts of local foods.

__FB59505****Bring parents and children to play. Although the details are different from those in Japan, the whole environment is really Japanese. The service here is really good, especially the employee who was in charge when we checked in (although I don’t know his name, I’m very grateful🙏). Because there is a baby, everyone takes good care of it and helps to bring a crib. The hot spring area is very clean and healing, and the water where the children swim is also clean. It happened to be in autumn, and the courtyard with red leaves is beautiful!
It would be better if the entire venue facilities were introduced when the guests checked in, children’s shower gel was prepared in the room where children stayed, and fragile items on the coffee table were taken away☺️
Bringing parents and children here will definitely not disappoint you, a pleasant accommodation experience👍

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very convenient location and is a great landing point. Zhongshan square is a very nice area with a lot of activities and easy subway and connecting bus stations.
The room itself, however, had very dirty walls (you can see if you zoom in) and had a terrible smell. The sheets on the bed were very clean. The bathroom was in dire need of being remodeled.
The staff were very friendly and nice and gave me great advice for things to do. I appreciated their help.
