I had a great stay over there.
The location is a little outside the ancient city but they offer rides to it.

The amenities of the room and the service were one of the best during my travels in China. Huge windows, a bathtub and an incredible shower made me thoroughly enjoy my room.
One thing that bothered me is the cigarette smoke that enters the room through the windows from the area right outside the hostel. Smoking is very common in China, but my experience would have been even better if I didn't wake up to the smell of cigarette smoke.
Breakfast is okay and I skipped the communal dinners as the vegetarian options were limited.
Despite the above, I'd stay in Liliwanxiang again the next time if I'm in Dali again.

Clean room, efficient laundry service, nice views from the roof and sweet dogs. The bed was a little hard but the environment was comfortable. Location a little far out but drop off service to old town every hour is convenient.

Very peaceful get away from life. Lots of areas to lounge around and look at the scenery. The hostel also has so many friendly cats for you to hang out with.
The staff are friendly and help with your luggage. There’s a shuttle to the town every hour.
Only downside is that the double room beds are really hard.

Lovely hosts - big community areas and liveliness all around. The rooms are clean and convenient. They have a hourly shuttle going from and to old town - I usually walked. That's possible but not super convenient.

While the location is a bit far up the hill from the ancient town, the hostel provides free shuttles which is great. The staff is attentive and avaliable to assist your needs, the atmosphere is lovely and room was great!

The host is very nice, helpful and supper support.
Take care and help us carry the baggage up to 4th floor.
Free shuttle bus from hotel to ancient town, very convience.

Wonderful hostel experience! Very nice front desk staff who helped me a lot in giving recommendations for food and travel. Also they are also very flexible and helpful as i wanted to change my room type that night right away and they changed it with full refund. Highly recommend if you travel to dali
