We stayed here for two nights for a family funeral nearby. The hotel stock in Coventry is generally basic and quite expensive, and the hotel we originally booked had sent us demands for breakage deposits and copies of our ID just beforehand. Their reviews were very variable. From my initial call Regina made us totally welcome, giving us an excellent price for the apartment. We were free to take advantage of the wonderful grounds of this listed building family home, and had a sumptuous bed, plenty of storage space, a large traditional bathroom, and a living room /kitchen with all facilities. Breakfast was available in the spacious dining room. Display fridge full of goodies, every bread product imaginable, Huge choice of quality drinks, cereals, fresh fruits, and special diet items. Eggs, cheeses, cold meats of your choice. We slept very well, and will definitely return, as we have family in Coventry who need a lot of help. Regina made us feel at home and cared about at every stage, and we could not wish for better. The main problem might be getting an available room as it was clearly very popular. Poor, no en-suit, dated, bed not changed. I didn’t stay, I left and went to another hotel. The sheets were used, the bathroom was shared, the shower had hair balls in it, the bath was dirty, toilet not flushed. I’d seen enough and left. Way way over priced for what was offered, needs to be in the £30 section. Business solo traveller, I can’t turn up for a meeting the next day not having showered and what issues am I going to have after sleeping in a strangers bed. I think this review reflects what they offered.
