"Thank you for existing, we love this place and this cozy and comforting atmosphere, to have a drink or eat a pancake when it's lousy outside (the best butter and sugar in the world)... As for the pastries, perfect, not too much sweet, lots of taste 😋 This year we tried the log for New Year's Day... from the great patisserie madam boss, we made short work of Mrs. Claus's bag! This praline, this crunchy, delicious. Don't change anything, even for the grumpy people who find the service too long, I want to say that it's part of the place and in the meantime we can enjoy the atmosphere and the place! Happy New Year to the team!"

"We stayed here briefly while travelling around France—our first night of a four-night trip—and it was the perfect way to start our holiday. The location is fantastic, right on the beachfront on a lovely quiet road. There was parking directly outside the hotel for our motorbike, which we could see from our room, so that was a big bonus for us. The receptionist’s English wasn’t great and my French wasn’t much better, but she went out of her way to communicate using Google Translate. She was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We had a standard room, so it wasn’t huge and didn’t have a sea view, but it was comfortable and perfectly adequate. Our view over the garden and road was absolutely fine. Breakfast was very good, with a nice selection of breads, cheeses, hot items, and coffee. We would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it—such a great little find."

"Don’t be put off by the ‘main road distance’ of the hotel from Binic, the location is actually very good! Arriving, there is ample parking places in a secure car park (locked at 21:30 but accessible by code). Walking into the foyer, you can see this hotel is very clean! This runs through the whole hotel, in the rooms and especially the breakfast room. The staff are very helpful and will speak English or French, and be very patient with your French if you only know a small amount of French 🤣 The hotel is across the road from a large supermarket, a laundrette, petrol station and a few other shops within the shopping park - and there is an amazing little pizza 🍕 cafe/ take away there. Binic is literally a 10 - 15 minute walk (exactly 1 mile) down the road through a residential area (and it is 1 road to get there, you can’t get lost!) all with pavements and lighting. Etables is about 25 - 30 minutes walk, once again it’s all paths and pavement (rural partly) and clearly signposted. This also means it’s a great starting point for walking the coastal path and the many cycling routes. Breakfast is what we know as continental buffet, it’s plentiful and very nice. We had a great 2 night stay and as regular visitors to that area, will definitely stay again!"

"Our second visit was as excellent as the first earlier in 2023. The owners were very welcoming and made sure we had what we needed and looked after us with a lovely personal touch. The rooms were all decorated with an old school educational theme which brought back great memories. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The location is great not far from the Brest to Rennes road but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Overall a wonderful stay ."

Is to much.they abuse the people they don’t know other hotels. The ibis or Enzo comparing price they are more fair. Today I feel abused!! I won’t come back"

"The room was clean and had all the amenities listed on the website. The staff was friendly and readily available if needed. There was free parking right in front of the building, and several charging stations! The suite was spacious with a beautiful ocean view. It was fantastic! My only complaint is that the restaurant doesn't offer takeout or meal trays. I plan to return."

"Hotel facing the island of Brehat and facing the pier. Don't wait for calm, it's convenient to board but you are surrounded by parking lots and incessant shuttles to the Island. The hotel is made up of two L-shaped buildings, an old sea view with the restaurant below and another more recent one attached to the old one. The jacuzzi is located between the 2 outside and is open until 10 p.m., a little late for peace of mind, especially since some customers try to access it even later. Perhaps the place should be made more secure and the hours reduced. Large and clean room, comfortable bedding, exterior double glazing but soundproofing problem with the neighbor's TV until 2 a.m. and reception ringing in vain when you want to report it. Classic restaurant, pleasant service, fortunately open because the hotel is far from the village. Reception from reception not unpleasant but no commercial gesture given the noise experienced at night. We certainly didn't have any luck with the neighbors but that doesn't make us want to go back."

"We last visited Sable d'or some 16 years ago and were impressed by the charm and belle epoch feel of the place. Visiting again reveals that some of what impressed then has diminished primarily due, I think, to the new buildings that have gone up. When we visited all those years ago we passed the Hotel Diane. It looked a bit neglected and sad for itself. But in the intervening period it's had a complete renovation and what a difference it's made. It retains its belle epoch aura but is now a hotel for the 2020s. The renovation (some 8 years ago) has been done sympathetically, carefully and to a high standard. The public rooms are light and airy and very, very comfortable. There are 3 lounges and all are excellent. There's a nice terrace and the dining room is fine, if a little functional. Our bedroom was a corner one of the first floor and benefited from two French windows (with balconies). Couple this with the high ceilings and the décor and the size of the room meant that it was full of light and space. The bathroom was again excellent with the usual facilities. Big and fluffy towels and bathrobes, Housekeeping was first-class. On the catering side breakfasts were very good with a wide selection – meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries and so on and so one. Good fresh orange juice. We ate in the restaurant once and this was fine: shortish menu but well cooked, well prepared and presented and very pleasant. Overall then a very nice experience. Any downsides? Well because the hot water was came from one those multi-drink machines it was never boiling so a decent cup of tea was impossible.. We found the bed a little soft for our liking but we slept well anyway. Whilst the staff were efficient and helpful we found that they didn't engage and lacked any solicitude. You can live with that. Would we return? Undoubtedly."
