"Although we had booked the economy room at the back with garden view, we had a small private terrace at leisure. And finally *** could sleep with the door open and singing birds, because there were mosquito nets (the first time in NZ after more than three weeks!). Equipment modern and at a high level. We would return, but the next time with water view book - these units looked fantastic even for longer stays!"

The cottage is close to Coromandel's arts scene, restaurants, pubs, craft shops, local attractions and coastal views. You’ll love my cosy Coromandel accommodation as the space surrounding the freestanding, old-fashioned rustic cottage affords total privacy in a beautiful orchard garden displaying a lovely rural ambiance as it backs onto bush-clad farmland. There's also a free carport for a car/boat and it's only 1 km from the town centre and areas boat ramps. My homely retreat is ideal for couples, cyclists, solo travellers, hikers, fishermen or anyone celebrating a special anniversary. The secluded 140-year-old two room Gold Prospector's cabin-type cottage is completely separate from the host's main house, and is screened off with olive bushes and trees. Outside the cottage you'll find a small porch with some seating and an outdoor picnic table with views into the orchard, making it a great place to view the regions bird life whilst enjoying your evening meal. The property features a wide driveway access to the cottage and the lower part of the private garden and orchard making it the ideal base to explore this beautiful upper region of the Coromandel Peninsular.Special conditions: Smoking is only allowed outside and away from the cottageNot suitable for small children under 12 years oldMaximun 2 adultsIt is not wheelchair friendlyThe bathroom annex is a few steps away from the cottageExtras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$35.00 per stay); Linen included.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.

"Booked in a superior suite (spa). Room facilities are very new, with multiple beds (one double bed and two single beds), with a child for another $25 per person per night. Easy to book, kitchen utensils, air conditioning. The hotel is conveniently located on the outskirts of the town, a few minutes drive from the town centre, with gas stations, Four Square and restaurants."
"Nice place. We were close to the toilets/kitchen so not so much walking. 👌🏻 There wasn't a lot of people around so no loud noises and good access to amenities without having to wait. We had our own parking spot right in front of our door as well, which is nice."
"Great location, excellent pitstop for trips along Coromandel. Ample parking spots for those who are driving or on road trips.
Only downside was the WiFi, as it was rather unstable."
"I am 2 adults and 1 child. I didn't expect to add children when I made the reservation. Therefore, only 2 adults were written on the order. For single bunk beds. When I left the next day, I was asked to make up for $40 because I was late for check-in and didn't tell them there was a child (they meant that they had to tell them the actual number of people for safety, but I didn't have an extra bed). I really don’t know that the last checkin time is 8pm. I only saw 2pm-10pm check out on the order. I arrived at 8:45, no one at the front desk, closed the door. In fact, the old couple slept in the house. Calls are not answered. Can't get in touch either. Fortunately, a compatriot from Taiwan helped me explain the situation without knowing what phone call was made (the old man came out immediately, if there is no help from the compatriots, I am ready to sleep in the car for one night), but he was immediately scolded by the old man. After a meal, the old lady appeared the next morning. . There is a kitchen, but the place to wash your face is separated from hot and cold water. Other foreigners staying in are very good, even I can't understand what to say is bad attitude. If I came earlier, it might be another treatment. I arrived here at 7 o'clock in the evening from Hot Water Beach. Who knew that the mountain roads were so difficult to open, and it was cloudy and dark. No one would always go abroad. But they are not easy. Mutual understanding. But I want to explain the situation."
