Kumara Serenoa by Lopesan Hotels

Visited here in early July 2025 for my birthday celebrations. And i honestly haven’t had a better holiday, it was purely amazing and right up my alley. The food was great, the staff were amazing, the accommodation was beautiful and clean, the facilities were great and the atmosphere was so mature and calming. For the value of the holiday i’d definitely pay more to come back again, i think it would be well worth the money, i personally would rate this a 5 star hotel. There were 0 faults with anything, we had one situation where the lock to our room door was a little stiff and unpredictable, we told reception staff and within 5-10 minutes a handyman was there who was so polite, fixed the issue for us and also asked if there was anything else he could do whilst he was there. The location was very secluded and out of the way of all the hustle and bustle, so if you’re looking for a more out in the town holiday i wouldn’t recommend. But this was perfect for us as we wanted something a lot more chilled out, relaxing and not have to hear the town or any traffic. When we did want to go anywhere we just requested a taxi from the front desk, the taxi drivers were the best i’ve ever seen anywhere, they were so professional and friendly and drived sensibly so we always felt safe (they also only cost around €7-€8) in which all of them also accepted card payments which was really useful. There is a small mini market on the hotel site that was available if you needed any little bits so you didn’t have to go out of your way to get them which came in handy quite a lot. If you’re looking for something really chilled and relaxed with a mature environment i definitely recommend this place. It was truly amazing and made my birthday a whole lot more special, we will 100% be visiting again.

Kumara Lopesan, wonderful resort! Only issue, the food, however it was genuinely one of the most peaceful weeks away I’ve had this year, and I’ve had many. My 3 year old loved it. There was no crazy entertainment or even a mini disco, but we knew this before arrival. It’s a very chilled resort, all low level buildings, with bungalow style rooms. Ours was on pool level, so perfect for going back and forth to the room. We opted for the AI PLUS, which for us was perfect, it meant real (plastic) shaped glasses at the pool, the extra cocktail (aparol &more) and the white wine (Rioja) was fab. The pool was spotless & WARM, which is a game changer when you have a child who loves the pool, and the whole resort was neat and clean. There was a singer on every night from 9, nothing crazy, just nice chilled music. And there was no music on at the pool in the day (which we loved) except on a Sunday where there was a live guitarist in, who was fab. THE FOOD! Was the only thing that let the place down. For such a small, almost boutique feeling resort the food could be so much better. Having said that. It would not put me off coming again, the staff were great and the relaxing vibe was just perfect.

This is a good 2 star!!! Only because of how clean and modern it is with a great pool area!! The food is not bad but it’s not good either it lacks imagination and choice and the temperature is always cold The service at the hotel is really bad, not because the staff are not working they all work hard it’s the lack of staff. Going for drinks at stages I counted 20 people waiting for drinks with one member of bar staff!! It lacks entertainment 2 hours a day not god enough.. and Sundays singing was awful. The rooms are really clean we have no tv in our bedroom there is in the sofa area but the way it’s positioned only one person can see it!!! Any other hotel you have a tv in the bedroom and the living room. I work over 100 hours a week i want to chill and waken up watching tv in bed .. il post the pics here. The beds are so uncomfortable 1 pillow each we had to ask for an extra pillow , the mattress is so Hard it’s really uncomfortable I reported to receptionist but he was grumpy and didn’t care!!! The cocktails are awful and the juice at breakfast is cheap not fresh.. The snacks are awful il show you a pic I’m in shock that lopesan hotels puts there name to this bad service and food It is the worse all inclusive package I’ve ever had!!

We had a lovely week at this nice, clean and quiet resort. Food was great and staff very friendly. There is a bus that takes you to either Maspalomas and Playa Del Ingles from the hotel, or the island bus service stop was only a 10 minutes walk away to take you to Las Palmas, Puerto Rico and other resorts or attractions.
