Coco Breeze Private Residence

We have stayed here three times. It is a lovely location and we enjoyed our stays the two previous times. This time was different. We had cash which we put in the safe in our condo assuming it would be SAFE there...not the case. The first Tuesday we were the condo. After the condo was cleaned on Tuesday, we noticed 350.00 missing from the safe. We did not want to jump to any conclusions thinking it was possible we had spend more than we thought or something. However, the following Thursday after the condo was cleaned, 400.00 more was missing from the safe! At this point, we reported it to the person in charge and were essentially told, "THIS is impossible!" Clearly NOT, as we were now out 750.00! We reported it to the local police who were quite nice and did not think it was "impossible." Obviously, unless there were cameras showing someone getting into the safe and taking the money...we can do nothing. That money is gone. It would have been nice if we had been offered SOMETHING, but we were not. We could have gone all over at the pool/restaurants etc. spreading the bad news. We did not do that. Why ruin anyone else's vacation. We were there another week with family and had a nice time. As I said, it is a lovely location we managed to have a good time, but were very careful about keeping our money somewhere else and having one of us there, when cleaning or repairs were happening. As I said, our two previous stays were great and I hate writing a bad review, but clearly there is a problem with security that needs to be addressed. We have traveled all over the world and kept money, passports, jewelry, etc. in the safe w/o a problem. I hope The Breeze can address this and become the secure place we experienced the first two visits. We probably won't be back, but I'd like to think others could enjoy a visit.

I can't pick a negative number. I booked a trip to Costa Rica through Dynasty. I have all the approval and confirmation emails. Even got my transfer voucher about a month before my trip. I arrived in Costa Rica to be informed by the resort my trip was canceled. They blamed Dynasty. Dynasty blames Breeze. I had to pay again out of pocket to secure accommodations for the time I was already booked. Dynasty has now washed their hands, said dispute with your credit card company. Breeze is holding they canceled, so I'm out the $$. Dynasty said, we'll add another trip to your package. Why would I ever travel again through Dynasty if I have no confidence that I will arrive and have secured accommodations? I've never been so frustrated.

We were picked up at Liberia Airport by Costa Rica Tours driver. We arrived after the office closed at 4:00 pm. I didn't have Wi-Fi so wasn't aware an email had been sent with instructions of how to get into our unit. Our driver was able to contact Josi, the consigner who gave me the Wi-Fi log in information. I'm happy we got a lower-level unit, as I had requested. The condo was equipped with enough glasses, plates, tableware and towels for the 3 of us. Bring your own laundry soap, auto dish soap and dish towel as these items aren't provided. The grocery store in the Pacifico complex is convenient, well stocked, but very expensive. The market across the street is cheaper but has mostly local items. The front office was closed on Wednesday, despite the sign that indicated it was open every day of the week. We had a maintenance issue on Wednesday, but maintenance was available and very quick to respond and resolve our problem. We rented a golf cart for the week which was very convenient to get around the complex, the beach club, stores and restaurants. We decided to attend the fractional share presentation for the benefits (free beach club access, partial credit for our Palo Verde River Safari tour, free lunch). We used the beach club only twice, which is very nice. The Palo Verde River Safari tour was great. All the restaurants in the complex were very good (Nikkei, Fabre, Tap Room, and the Beach club restaurant). We rented a car for 2 days to explore Playa Flamingo and Tamarindo. Costa Rica roads are narrow, mountainous, and full of potholes. We turned around at one point on a road as it was very muddy, and we were not sure we could get through. Another road was being worked on and had horrendous rocks, holes, etc. So lucky we didn't blow a tire. If you aren't an adventurous driver, I'd recommend hiring a private driver or booking tours that provide transportation. The service was outstanding everywhere we went. The grounds of the complex are beautiful and well maintained. There are other buildings under construction so it's best to have plans away from the condo during most of the day as it's very noisy.

Beautiful grounds. Great landscaping. Wonderful pools. Cannot speak for everyone’s experience as there are different lodging options here condos, private residences, houses etc we stayed in a condo time share through RCI in building 7 on bottom floor. Rooms are very damp and musty. They need a dehumidifier inside at least on the bottom floor the beds are comfy and the condos are spacious and modern. However the sheets always feel wet due to the humidity. It’s also very noisy in this building we can hear every time someone in another unit shuts (often slams!) a door and flushes commodes. There is construction above us on the hill and a lot of noise and traffic from that.

We definitely enjoyed our stay! We rented a 3 bedroom condo for a week. The property was super nice and the concierge is top notch! Adi and Adelina were amazing even before we got there. They helped us book 4 tours. We did the rainforest, coffee, Chocolate and sloth sanctuary one and Daniel our tour guide was super awesome. The tour itself was so fun and informative. We also did the beach tour with surf lessons at the end with Norman and that was beautiful. It was a private tour so it was just our group going at our own pace all day and the surf lessons for the kids were awesome. We rented a golf cart for the week for $600 and it was worth it. The concierge set everything up and made it super easy. They even got us a ride from San Jose when our flight to Liberia got messed up. We will definitely visit again!

Seamless week, quick check-in with Iniki? Very informative, the tours were pre-set up with Adi. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! A very large resort. The Beach club is perfect!!! Very clean. The service was impeccable. They could put a lil more alcohol in the drinks . Make sure you look at the bus schedule for the club. The town is totally walkable.. I would go back in a heart beat.
