A Magical Jungle Getaway at Cariblue Jungle & Beach Resort My stay at Cariblue Jungle & Beach Resort was truly unforgettable! The included breakfast was absolutely incredible—there was a huge variety to choose from every morning. The omelets were the most delicious I’ve ever had, and the fresh fruit was so sweet and refreshing. There was so much food that we often stayed full until dinner! What made this place extra special was the wildlife—I saw more animals at the resort than anywhere else! I spotted parrots, geckos, a baby sloth, howler monkeys, butterflies, and even leafcutter ants. Waking up each morning to the sounds of the jungle was magical, and seeing the howler monkeys every day was a highlight. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. The shuttle service and tours offered through the resort were well-organized and professional, making it easy to explore the area. Our room had a rustic charm that made us feel immersed in nature, which I absolutely loved. While I didn’t use the pool, the beach was just across the road, and it was so much fun to spend time there. There were also lots of food options, whether you wanted to eat at the resort or explore some of the great little spots just down the road. If you’re looking for a unique, nature-filled experience with comfort and charm, I highly recommend Cariblue Jungle & Beach Resort!

This is our second time here, and it's just as excellent. The location is beautiful and tropical, and the food is spectacular; everything on the menu is excellent. Dexon's service at the restaurant is excellent. Cariblu 100% recommended.

We stayed 5 nights at Cariblu in a nice room on 1st floor wit a balcony in the jungle sector. We saw tucans, sloths and other animals in the area Rooms were cleaned everyday, filtered water available free of charge and a lovely breakfast with lots of different food to choose from. Nice swimmingpool with beach chairs. All the staff were so kind and helpful. The hotel is just in front of the beach. As we left early in the morning, we were given a breakfast box to go. There is a restaurant at the hotel as well as a sushi place. Also few other places to eat around. There is about 2 km into Puerto Viejo, you can walk or go by bike or take a tuk-tuk.

We enjoyed out family stay at Cariblue Beach & Jungle resort for a couple of reasons: The food was great, and the restaurant staff super friendly. Our daughter loved the nice pool that’s always open & the hotel grounds with lots of animals. What we enjoyed less was the activities that were canceled on the day they were supposed to take place (yoga class, dj set, dolphin trip) and the lack of pool towels available while we were there. The location of the hotel is still very convenient, a little outside of Puerto Viejo and with the beach out front.

The rooms are not beachfront as stated but only a simple walk across the street. Resort is absolutely beautiful with abundant wildlife and jungle vibe. Some of the rooms need maintenance and better cleaning. All around great property for the most part. The beds could also use some better love as they are quite hard. We will definitely be back!

We had a family room which was perfect for us on the inside. What they don’t tell you is that it’s right next to the road, which is also where the party is. Fortunately about 9:30 it goes from pretty loud to pretty quiet. Small pool right outside the door (we didn’t even bother with the main pool). Location is in the heart of the action in this little ***** with places to eat (Tasty Waves Cantina is our fav), trinkets to buy, and the beach all right there. Secure parking. Breakfast was quality with options everyone could find something they liked.

A sloth in the hotel grounds
This hotel is really in the jungle and very authentic from that perspective
The beach is just across the road so it is a perfect location with little beach bars outside
We saw a sloth on the ground just outside our room, it seemed to live in the grounds
Only downside was the reception staff were a bit doppy and failed to book our rafting despite 3 attempts so just booked it myself - otherwise they were fine

Jungle and beach right there
The hotel area is great since you basically live in a jungle with tropical plants and animals everywhere. The pool is nice, clean and warm water. The AC was a necessity since it's really hot and humid. The breakfast buffé was good. The beach is literally right outside the hotel area.
