A very friendly welcome by Emanuel, who provided a perfect information message beforehand about how to reach the hostel. The hostel is located on a beautiful spot with the ocean right in front of you. I loved the veranda on the first floor! Very clean place (thanks to the lady whose name I don't know) Good showers and airco!!

Tasty Dayz Hostel Review I stayed at Tasty Dayz Hostel for three weeks, and it was an incredible experience. The price was unbeatable for what you get—a welcoming atmosphere, fantastic facilities, and a staff that genuinely cares about your stay. The location near Playa Cocles is, in my opinion, much better than being in downtown Puerto Viejo. You’re close to the beach, surrounded by nature, and it feels more peaceful while still being just a short bike ride from town. What really made my stay special, though, were the people. The community vibe here is amazing—travelers and staff alike are friendly, laid-back, and full of great energy. Whether it was lounging in the common areas, cooking in the shared kitchen, or heading out for surf sessions, there was always someone to connect with. I highly recommend Tasty Dayz to anyone visiting the area. If you’re looking for a relaxed, fun, and affordable place to stay with all the essentials, this is it!

For hostels it's one of the best I've been to. Well equipped kitchen, lots of space for everyone! The cabins have a great outdoor area. It is soooo close to the beach and one of he best restaurants in town is right beside reception. Super deal for the price.

È una struttura immersa nella foresta ed è molto ben congegnata. Le cabanas sono basiche ma i letti sono comodi e il tetto regge bene la pioggia. La cucina in comune è superaccessoriata e mantenuta pulita dal personale che è gentilissimo. Ci torneremo volentieri!

Excellent management and staff, really wow! Everything was spotless clean, friendly reception, smooth processes and information, and even accommodating special requests. All for a great price. The rooms are rustic and functional as expected. There is all you need to sleep, shower, eat, and store your belongings. Amazing setting at the edge of a forest full of wild animals, and 1 min walk to the beautiful white sand surf beach.

Nos alojamos una sola noche pero el lugar es acogedor, lleno de naturaleza y cuenta con todos los servicios que necesitas. Tambien tiene una cocina compartida para poder cocinarte tu tus platos. Solo llegar un perezoso en el arbol de la entrada nos dio la bienvenida :) Buen ambiente y tranquilo!
