Hotel in a central location, in a few minutes you can reach the main monuments of the city. Small but comfortable rooms, recently renovated, bathroom a little small but it can be fine for a few days.
The elevator is tiny and not very practical because it stops at the half floor, so there are always stairs to climb. Courteous and smiling staff.
We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot judge the cuisine.

We , Berit and Brede had the pleasure of spending five great days at Le Lion in Clermont-Ferrand, and we truly can't recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived until the very last goodbye, the experience was nothing but amazing. ️ Warmth & Hospitality at Its Best of Le Lion lies in its incredible team. Every single staff member made us feel welcomed, seen, and cared for going above and beyond in every way. Max greeted us with such charm and professionalism. Jeanine and Valentine always brought a smile with their kindness. Raphael, Ugo, and Marie were consistently attentive and warm. Isuru, Sarah, and Nils showed outstanding service, making each interaction personal and pleasant. The staff was so dedicated, genuine, and friendly. They made us feel like part of the Le Lion family. The hotel is stylish, comfortable, and perfectly situated in Clermont-Ferrand's center. Our room was modern, clean, and quiet. A great retreat after exploring the city. The design blends sophistication and comfort effortlessly. From breakfast dinners to late-night drinks, the quality of food and service was superb. There’s a cozy, joyful energy throughout the hotel that makes it more than just a place to sleep , it becomes part of your experience. We left Le Lion with full hearts, wonderful memories, and a strong desire to return. Thank you, Max, Jeanine, Valentine, Raphael, Ugo, Marie, Isuru, Sarah, and Nils. Hotel de qualité, chambre climatisée, vraiment rien à dire. Attention pour les femmes, il n'y a pas de sèche cheveux. On a meme pu manger dans leur brasserie, les serveurs au top, vraiment bien. Dommage que la réceptionniste de mercredi 18 juin 18h20 n'était pas très pro, souffle quand elle nous voit parce qu'elle partait en pause ...ca moyen

Hôtel très bien placé au centre de Clermont Ferrand Accueil très sympathique et chambre vraiment impeccable avec une qualité étonnante pour un hôtel 3 étoiles. Leur restaurant aussi est top . C’est notre deuxième séjour et on y reviendra certainement Bravo

Nous avons été déçus par cet hôtel. Il n’est pas atteignable par la voiture pour décharger les bagages. Nous avons tourné en rond avec le GPS avant de trouver le parking public pendant une demi-heure . Heureusement le personnel est très aimable et nous a bien aidé. Rien à dire sur la chambre et le petit déjeuner, c’est très correct. Cet hôtel n’est pas fait pour les personnes du 3 eme âge avec des bagages conséquents. La réceptionniste aurait dû nous dire au moment de la réservation que l’hôtel n’était pas atteignable en voiture et que le parking n’était pas à côté.

Minimalistly decorated but clean rooms, fair price and perfectly located (restaurants, tramway and points of interest all at walking distance). The room was however quite hot even in May, we couldn't figure out how to turn on the AC and the restaurant and city square below are quite noisy to sleep with an open window.

Envie de prendre un dernier verre un mardi soir à Clermont ? Pas facile car il faut bien le dire il n'y a plus beaucoup de cafés attrayants place de Jaude. Nous avons "fait connaissance' avec le bar de l'Hotel le Lion et cela a été une très agréable découverte. Personnel très sympathique, souriant et efficace. Nous reviendrons. Merci beaucoup.
