The hotel is next to the old town and a two-minute walk to the old town. The hotel is opposite the bus departure station, making it convenient in transportation. The hotel pool is superb, the garden is awesome, and the room is clean and comfortable.
Located 100 metres from St Johns co-Catherdral and so just steps away from the very heart of everything Valletta has to offer (and there is so much!), this is one of the every best small hotels I have stayed at. We had 3 rooms for a family trip and all were impeccably clean and tidy with super comfy beds (although 2 did not have windows on the side of the room, they had enormous windows in the ceiling so never suffered for natural light). We were on a B&B tariff and breakfast was excellent - a good choice and healthy portions to set you up for the day. The service was fabulous: whilst everyone really couldn't do enough for us, a special mention for Sunny who was polite and efficient well beyond what was necessary. We'll be back!

It was a nice stay. However for a 5-star hotel, there is no full body mirror, no bidet, table and chair as per description. Also, the description of room categories here in Trip. com are misleading so better to double check it first with them.
For the toiletries, the hand soap, shampoo & conditioner, and shower gel are all same. I was under the impression that atleast there will be conditioner but all are same and my hair became very dry. The lotion, cotton buds were not replensihed for a 3-night stay. For the Tv, we struggled to operate and no English channel. I tried to call reception but no one’s answering.
Breakfast is ok and the staffs serving breakfast were so nice and polite.
Room was so clean. However as the room was in the ground floor, we always here the lift and when people are cleaning or doing things in the corridor.
This is very well located, they had a little closet to keep our bags until we checked in at 1500 and then we where also avail to use it after we checked out while we got breakfast before heading to the airport. The apartment had a small potable AC that tried its best but the Malta heat can be a lot, when we asked for a fan they where very quick. They responded super fast to any questions we had and spoke the language. I didn’t catch the female workers name but she was super sweet and accommodating. She said she was from Colombia . Overall I would stay here again but it’s definitely a place to crash in between activities. Keep your expectations low and you’ll enjoy it.
The reason I am rating this lower is for one thing: not enough hot water for more than a 2 minute shower. Seriously. I timed it. I even woke up one morning at 4:30 AM, thinking I would beat everyone else. Nope. This is a developed country in Europe, there is no excuse for insufficient hot water. Minor complaint: The shower grout was filled with black stuff that was either mold or missing grout. I wasn't getting close enough to find out. Internet speed was around 20, but it would randomly shut off at least once a day. Would be a pain if you were in a work meeting. Hotel itself is in a good location. You're within a 5-10 minute walk of great restaurants. Also 8-10 minutes from the bus station. Bed was OK. There was only one pillow and it wasn't that soft. Towels were usually slightly damp, likely from hang drying. They were big though. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion provided but they are teeny tiny bottles. Breakfast was good. Selection of hot and cold food. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always helpful!! I want to move up to a 3.5/5 just for the staff.
I stayed 3 nights at the Gomerino. The hotel staff is absolutely fabulous. They help you in all you need instantly.
The staff is 5 star, very kind professionals. The view from the roof top terrace is exceptional, the best view in Valletta. The terrace is incredible.
Unfortunately the room is not reaching my expectations. It’s just very noisy. Every single foot step from above can be heard in your room. So at night and in the morning I felt very disturbed and uncomfortable because of this. I had to call reception several times to ask the above guest to keep it quiet at night. The room is very dark and just not for my taste. The bed was ok I asked a double bed but they supplied my with 2 single mattresses put together.
Thank you for the staff you were fabulous.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Barrister Hotel, and would return when travelling to Valletta. It is a simple comfortable hotel, perfectly located centrally, but in a quiet street. The rooms were very comfortable (we slept really well), and the owner was always on hand at breakfast to talk to and provide advice. Would not need anything more for a great stay in Valletta. We had a room with a small balcony, great to sit outside late afternoon. There is a room with a larger balcony which we would consider on a future visit. Definatley worth staying at.

LLydia & CoraIt was simply perfect ! The hotel is beautiful, central with the terrace of your dreams ! Thank you to all the staff of the hotel who was lovely! The 3 reception staff was incredibly kind, helpful and made us feel at home. The breakfast team was perfect to start the day with and the restaurant waiters made the evenings very pleasant (to the Argentinian waiter, the recommended oil and sfogliata were wonderful - I couldn't wait the evening, and thank you for the jazz recommendation which I hope we can try next time!). And most importantly, thank you to the incredible room service team who made wonders everyday in a record time.
We have just got back from 4 days in Malta's fine capital, Valletta and have stayed in some great boutique hotels when visiting cities. The 66 Saint Paul's is another example. Each of the signature rooms has been thoughtfully and carefully curated. We stayed in the Penthouse suite for 4 nights and this offered a stunning view over the harbour to the 3 cities opposite, bathed in sunshine throughout the day and with our own sun deck. Each step on to it felt like walking into a postcard. My wife also enjoyed the shared pool area which was clean and well serviced. The building itself is about 400 years old so you instantly feel connected to the city. You soon notice almost all buildings on the Maltese islands are built of the signature local limestone. The splendid and centuries old Palazzo Santa Sofia rubs shoulders with the many baroque churches, centuries old dwellings, and also some surprising modern designs too, in a beautiful compliment across the skyline, much unlike the sometimes garish contrasts in capitals further north. Although the food was very good and all fresh, do note that like a lot of city hotels there is no dining option at the 66 St Paul’s after breakfast. However, location is everything and, once oriented to the harbour and the De Valette monument, you are literally a minute away from Merchants Street and Republic Street, the two main public thoroughfares linking the shops, sites and many eateries. The sloping alleyways linking these to St Paul Street come alive after sunset and are transformed into an array of bars and restaurants, with more lining the length of Merchants Street each night. I can't imagine eating in anywhere near half of them, but we found plenty of choice and good meals for less than 20 euros per head each night with recommendations available from the hotel too. The great location of the 66 Saint Paul's extends in every direction with easy access to the harbour (we caught a water taxi to the 3 cities for a look around, totally recommended), the various gardens, museums and also the must-see-and-hear Saluting Battery each day at noon. We were also able to link up easily with a very good walking tour and had to wait no more than a few minutes for our collections, taxis and Ubers. A trip to Mdina and the catacombs to learn more about Malta's fascinating history is also worth the time and effort. Our biggest thanks, along with the weather, are for the small team that kept things running for the 15 rooms. The housekeeping was reliable and thorough and each one of the staff that helped at reception and breakfast was, like everyone we met in Malta, friendly and polite. We really enjoyed our first visit to Malta, in part to the cheerful and generous nature of the people and the warm reception from the city of Valetta. I must totally recommend a visit.
YYuwenTotally beyond my expectation!! From the smiley face welcoming us when we first walked in to the home made turndown macarons to the breakfast (the chef even peeled the tomato skin!); everything impressed me. We stayed two nights in the Casa and it is my first time staying in the Valetta. The hotel focuses on service details!!
Superb location - 10 to 15 mins walk to the bus terminal/ upper and lower Barrakka garden/ the ferry pier with easy access to bars, restaurants, and shops. The building itself is historical and we love the design of the room. The big in-room safe provides extra secure.
But what I love the most is the team. Everyone at the reception and during breakfast service has been super amazing. Special thanks to Peter who performed the room orientation upon check-in, Matthew who assisted me with luggage and escorted me to the uber pick up point upon departure, the pretty lady Sladjana with a big smile and endless jokes that made my day, and Renniel who helped fix the issue of the basin stopper.
Highly recommend Casa Ellul to everyone. Dont miss the wonderful breakfast in the morning!
HHUALocated behind the Valletta government and commercial street, it is a 300-year-old hotel that is not only clean and tidy, but also luxurious and elegant. If the system address is incorrectly located, we will navigate to the 12th. Actually, we will go down another 150 meters to reach the 76th, which is next to the church. Need the agent to send us a 4-digit reservation code, which is the door code, this must be confirmed with Ctrip in advance. The back of the hotel is a bustling pedestrian street. Going right and turning is a few passages that lead to the sea. A 50-meter left turn is a big supermarket.
HHangzhouaimamaThe hotels in Valletta are all on the slopes. Up a few hills, the hotel is next to a Japanese bar. The front desk is a bit small, but the front desk staff is very welcoming and provides wine and water. The room has everything it needs. Eating on the 7th floor, the view is very good and the wind is very strong. Breakfast is also available. We were given a very rich breakfast on the day we had to catch a flight. Special thanks to the employee who fixed my selfie stick. Good review!
We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at a lovely hotel in the heart of Valletta. Having traveled extensively around the world, I can confidently say that this hotel stands out with its exceptional service. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home!!!!!! Our room was spotless and elegantly decorated, featuring a sauna. Although it was an internal room without a window facing the main street, the ambiance was still delightful. I had booked a room only option, but I noticed they offered a fantastic selection for breakfast, which I would love to try on my next visit. Overall, I can't wait to return to Malta and this charming hotel!
HHeppjacSmooth check-in process having uploaded passport details prior. Very friendly staff who took us to our room explained breakfast, mini bar, safe, wifi, door codes etc. Room 104 street view with balcony, spacious bathroom & walk in closet & AC. Lovely comfortable bed, spare pillows & duvet. Breakfast on roof top was plentiful, with amazing. Must mention Alesandro on internship from his school in Italy who was very knowledgable on the Maltese breakfast dishes & spoke fantastic English & an alround delight to talk to in general. Also the Manager took time to chat about the history of the building, which was ineresting. Location was perfect for us, amazing restaurants & live music bars in the vicinty. We loved Valletta & will definately return ❤️
GGuest UserEverything! The location is great, room is perfect, they even have netflix. Bathroom very luxurious with L'Occitane products and Porcelanosa stuff. People complain about the entrance. I don t understand why, there is a big flag on the building with the hotel name on it and also it is written at the entranced it s true that u have to go thru Starbucks, but that is event better cause it s a good reference point. They give u breakfast in the room (from Starbucks )you will find a flyer in the room and you choose from the options they give u. They provide slippers, maybe u need to ask for it. They have iron in the room and also ironing table. They give u a bottle of water from the house and a complimentary drink from starbucks. The hotel doesn t have a reception, just a small desk with a pc and there is an announcment with the phone number, but the guys from starbucks will help u. They came everyday to clean and change the towels. Overall, the location is perfect, room was great, breakfast was good. Nothing to complain, really. If I ever go back to Malta, i will for sure choose this one again❤️

”I had been in this hotel a few days, the overall experience was very good.
All the staff was very friendly, ensured that we got a nice room, the room is big than average hotels and all new. The breakfast is tasty and prepared in the moment.
Most probably if I return to Malta will check this hotel again, because was a nice experience”
AAdellaWThe hotel is very comfortable and the location is quite good. One hundred meters away from the city center, the hotel staff is very friendly and especially likes the hotel. It is very rich in the morning and can bring children. I hope that Chinese tourists can whisper a little, can close the door and make a small noise. It is better to think about others. Thank you! The people here are very friendly and there are smiles everywhere.
