Cederberg Ridge is an amazing oasis of a place in which to stay with stellar facilities, rooms, service, activities from which we did not want to depart (after a 4 day stay) and will return.

Simbavati Cederberg Ridge Wilderness Lodge is een pareltje in een plaats die misschien niet zo gekend is maar ons werd aangeprezen door onze agent. We hebben er geen moment spijt van gehad want het is er werkelijk overheerlijk toeven in dit prachtige landschap. We werden er zeer gastvrij ontvangen en kregen de nodige uitleg van alle activiteiten die we er konden doen en inbegrepen waren in de prijs. Alles is er prachtig. Van de lodge, eetplaats, het terras tot de kamers waren gewoon luxe met prachtig zicht op de omgeving en het zwembad. Alles is zo mooi aangelegd. Het eten was er eveneens top! Ook de ranger die ons begeleide tijdens de wandelingen gaf ons zeer duidelijke uitleg over de fauna en flora. We kregen ook de mogelijkheid tot een wijn tasting gedurende ons verblijf wat een leuke ervaring was. Alles is daar gewoon perfect. Jammer dat we er maar 2 nachten verbleven. Een nachtje meer ware beter geweest om volledig te relaxen want je komt er echt tot rust. Een dikke aanrader en bedankt aan alle medewerkers voor de gastvrije ontvangst en bediening. Marc

I have traveled the world for nearly 60 years and Simbavati Ceberberg Ridge rates amongst the very best places I have stayed. Why? All of the staff are professional, superbly trained and attentive to our every need. Words that come to mind are kind, welcoming, genuinely caring, flexible, honest, knowledgeable. Add this to superb accommodation, amazing views of the mountains and varied activities then you have a perfect stay.

We visited the lodge as a couple to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It was our first visit to the Cederberg region. We experienced the friendliest staff from our arrival to our departure. The sincerity of the staff and their willingness to help was exceptional. The room that we stayed in was well designed and spacious with all amenities one would expect. The heated plunge pool was genuinely nice. The excursions were well planned and gave us valuable information and exposure than we would otherwise not engage in. The cuisine prepared by chef, Chris, was especially of a very high standard and next level.

An amazing experience! The staff is incredibly friendly, the location is stunning, and the food is delicious. There are plenty of enjoyable activities, yet also areas for absolute tranquility. A perfect escape for peace and relaxation—truly mesmerizing!

Positiv ist auf alle Fälle die Lage, der Ausblick und das wirklich sehr freundliche Personal. Auch die beiden Pools und das Spa sind toll. Doch leider gibt es auch negatives. Die Speisekarte in der Lodge ist definitiv eine andere als im Internet. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist relativ gering. Wenn man zum Beispiel Veganer ist, müsste man täglich das selbe essen. In einer Lodge in dem Preissegment sollte man zumindest ein Fischgericht und irgend eine Art von Steak haben. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Aktivitäten werden im Netz groß angepriesen und man wird sogar vorab per Mail kontaktiert, welche Aktivitäten man machen möchte. Leider gibt es pro Tag jeweils nur 2 plus eigenständiges Mountainbiken, sodass man während seinem Aufenthalt möglicherweise diese Aktivität gar nicht machen kann. Und dann ist da noch die Sache mit der Dusche. So vergammelt wie die in unserem Zimmer war ist eigentlich eine Frechheit (Foto existiert). Da gehört dringend etwas gemacht. Und auch die Lichtschalter gehören geändert. Wenn ich jedesmal vom Bad erst wieder durch das halbe Zimmer laufen muss um Licht am WC einzuschalten, ist das einfach nur umständlich.

We had a very relaxing stay. Close enough to Cape Town for a weekend away. Easy accessible. Super friendly staff. Great interior and decor all in modern chic farmhouse natural colours to suit the surroundings. You can be active or just relax by the pool. Nice organised activities on offer!
