Fairfield Inn & Suites Cheyenne

Hi. I live in Colorado. Not saying where exactly. But I decided to come up to Cheyenne for ONE NIGHT for a fun, little weekend getaway. That “fun” turned into a bulls*** night of sleep! I leave later than I expected. Roll in at around 7 pm, realize I didn’t have dinner yet, went to some place (I can’t remember the name), got back at around 8 pm. Now I’m that one person that cannot go to bed in hotels unless I’m in the fitness centre & pool for about 30 minutes to an hour if the hotel has one, so I do that. But I also have to work out. Worked out for about 30 minutes. Got in the pool at around 8 30. Got out at around 9. For some reason did a bit of yoga in the hallways for about an hour. 9 30, did some intense workout moves in my room. 10 pm took a shower. 10 30, did some things with my teeth. 11 pm watched a horror movie. 12 30, went to bed. This is where things went downhill. It was super windy that night. And for some reason, the window seal that secures the window and holds it in place had a small hole in it! Small enough so you can’t see, but large enough to make you scream “bulls***” in your dreams. It was this terrible buzzing that sounded like a lawn-mower, dying vacuum cleaner, and a clothes dryer that’s like two seconds from catching on fire. It was painful. I got through the night (thank god), but the worst night sleep ever. I thought it was some vacuum cleaner, but dropped that thought because I don’t think that housekeeping would be vacuuming a floor at 2 in the morning for 8 hours straight. I brought it up to the front desk, and they said they’d look into it. The staff was lovely, and the service was great. The room the pretty clean actually. Things worked pretty well. Just that window needed to be fixed. Breakfast was great, can’t lie. Plenty of parking. It was in good condition. This hotel could’ve gotten a solid 5-star review from me if that d*mn window didn’t keep me up all night. And I also got to bed at 12 30 IN THE MORNING!! That I blame myself on, but that didn’t really help either. Hopefully that window is fixed by now. I stayed back in May, so I don’t know why I’m writing this now. I’m in the process of writing TripAdvisor reviews to every place I’ve been to that has TripAdvisor. Hopefully your stay is better than mine. (If you end up staying).

After arriving around 5 o’clock, 530 we were told our room was not ready. We found out that there is maid service only on request. We discovered this when reading the television screen. The bathroom had brown long hairs in the corner. We are a retired couple so long brown hair is not ours. I did take a picture of this very disappointed.

Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and spacious. We would stay here again
