"Friendly pub with nice staff. Check in was pleasant and efficient. Room was adequate and better equipped than many hotels. I hated the tiny hanbasin for shaving. The floors were a little creaky, however this did not disturb my sleep!! Parking is a little hit and miss but managed with my itinerary lol. Excellent Real Ale in the friendly bar."

"Spent 2 fantastic nights in the French room , loved every minute , everything we needed was supplied by the fantastic folks who work here , they seem very happy In what they do. After exploring the area , the coast up to Berwick , Alnwick etc , coming back here was delightful, we chilled out in the bar, got changed and ate both nights here, absolutely faultless, to top it off the breakfast was probably one of the best In UK for us.
