"This place was brilliant. The room was immaculate. Spotless. New. Furniture, bedding , towels and the little touches 10/10. The staff were super friendly . I saved my bag before check. They did me a breakfast takeout as needed to be out early. They also helped me when i got stranded there as made a mistake with the buses. When i realised there are no buses on a sunday they helped me by chatting to a couple of guests who on leaving were going my way and kindly said they would drop me off. I loved the stay. Top tip.. check buses if going by bus."

"went for quiet weekend at the end of Jan, hotel was quiet busy, we booked a premier + room and it was fab, quiet location always excellent sleep quality etc. brekkie was fab, only 5 mins walk to Bewick centre. a good centre for exploring the area. there's no on site parking but just drive past hotel through the arch and it free parking, result! will def go back to this hotel."

"My wife and I stayed at this superb village Inn for four nights and to be honest, we wished we had stayed longer!! That said, we will definitely be returning. We received a very warm welcome from Ellen upon our arrival, and that same warm, friendliness was embedded within all the staff. The Tankerville Arms is beautifully clean throughout and an utterly charming environment full of character. The dining experience is not to be missed. The food at breakfast and dinner was beautifully presented, plentiful, delicious, and cooked to perfection. We stayed in the Gold Room and loved it. A superb king-sized bed, flat screen TV, coffee and tea making facilities and en-suite bathroom. The location of The Tankerville Arms is ideal for anyone wishing to visit the Northumberland coastal towns and attractions, and those wishing to explore the near-by Cheviot Hills. Information on all these locations is in abundance from Ellen and her team who were always on hand to help. Definitely worth a visit and highly recommended."
