Literally saved our lives we booked to stay near by but on arrive the apartment was disgusting. We walked up to THE CHARLES HOTEL. Where we were greeted by lovely staff and offered 2 beautiful rooms. The rooms were very spacious and extremely clean. All staff are very welcoming and polite. You can also eat in the restraunt that serves beautiful Indian food. Very cheaply priced. All in all this hotel deserves a 10/10 amazing value for money and everything you could ask for. Thanks guys for a lovely stay and for saving our lives

O my days This place is absolutely filthy dirty Room nothing like the website tiny and unclean stains up the walls no one on reception just a phone number. You can't get parked in there so call car park. Toilet seat was falling off only clean thing about this place was the towel in the bathroom

Empty reception area The check-in and out time was too long. There’s no one fixed in the reception so you just have to keep waiting and waiting. You may have a tired day already and come up with this kind of no mans land is absolute terrible.

My son booked this hotel for me and my husband he stated to the clearly im disabled and needed a lower floor when arriving we had to park at the back of the hotel and climb a spiral staircase of at least 50 steps to enter the building when on arrival we was given our key card and our room was on 1st floor yes more stairs the carpets leading up were filthy the walls and bannisters to on arriving in our room it was what I expected after seeing the hall way this also was dirty the overall room we were given was dirty the bed the shower the window sills the carpet and walls were all stained we was suppose to be celebrating our anniversary we stayed 1 night out the full weekend we had booked and left

Everything was perfectly ok for a reasonable and good value overnight stay - the room was clean and had everything needed but the mattress was very uncomfortable indeed, needs replacing. Sadly I had a poor night's sleep due to mattress being long past its use by date. A shame because everything else was ok.

We stayed at Christmas and used the car park which they advertise. We then get a parking ticket sent to us by a parking fine company?! I contact the hotel a number of times, they haven't done anything to delete the ticket, now the fine company are sending us more letters asking for more money. When I email the hotel they don't reply and when I try ringing their number, no one picks up.
