Quite special experience of ‘French Rustic’. Very well done and presented. All necessary facilities and comprehensive self catering equipment provided. Breakfast included, was most enjoyable and offered considerable choice of items.
This proved an excellent country stay and well worth trying, but double check route plan - not terribly easy!

Fine but not outstanding
The room was, in our opinion, rather functional and overpriced for what it was, and I am a little suspicious of the outstanding reviews it has received. Host was friendly and helpful in the morning.

Just 15 min from Angoulême, our 12, 9 & 6 year old kids and their parents found with the Domaine de Chantemerle the ideal place to go off the grid and rest among horses, dogs, cats… and potatoes. With its 20 min walk access to the Charente river, easy hikes between forest and fields, and the nearby canoe & paddle rental in Vindelle, Chantemerle also has many activities perfectly suited for children. Also worth mentionning: Davina's easygoingness and precious recommendations – always spot on - the comfort of our suite (we were staying at the Guerinière), the all-organic breakfasts served every morning... And when we wanted to go back online, the solid wifi connection in our room.

Séjour agréable au calme
Séjour parfait , l'accueil très agréable sur un site rural remarquable en fond d'une petite vallée où de nombreux chevaux gambadent sur le vaste domaine bien entretenu. Bâti typiquement charentais, la literie est est confortable et le petit déjeuner sur mesure parfaitement ajusté. Je recommande d'y faire une pause si vous savez apprécier l'authenticité des endroits calmes.

Bel endroit au calme
Tres bel endroit calme et reposant que ce soit pour une étape ou pour visiter la région.
Des chambres spacieuses, super petit déj et top équipement pour le gîte (cuisine bien équipée). Jardin bien équipé et des chemins accessibles pour se balader. Le plus : la proximité des chevaux pour ceux qui aiment ça ;)

La chambre est spacieuse, propre et le domaine est très calme au milieu des chevaux. Très bon petit-déjeuner bio et fait maison : confiture maison, fruits du jardin ! A faire sans hésitation ! Très satisfait de cette escapade au plus proche de la nature
