Qianna Guanshan Hot Spring Resort Hotel

I wanted to take my children and dog on a river trekking trip and came to Changxing County. The surrounding area is mostly farmhouses. This hotel is dog-friendly and doesn't charge a cleaning fee. It was quite nice. My family of four booked a Guanshan villa. It seems all room types are for double occupancy. Extra beds are not available, and this room type is the only one with a tatami mat, which the child can sleep on. The room isn't very large. There's a hot spring pool on the balcony. In the summer, there are a lot of unknown insects. Living in the mountains has a certain wildness to it. The hotel itself is small, with a pool that seems to be only about 1.3 to 1.4 meters deep. It's okay for playing in the water. The breakfast was just okay; just eat whatever you want. Also, right next to the hotel is the free Bawangtan Scenic Area. It's not large, and there's not much to see. By the way, each room received a box of eggs before leaving.

We booked a twin room, but later saw that the villa was even better, so we paid extra to upgrade. The kids were thrilled. There's a pool and hot springs. The waitresses were all warm and friendly. The service was excellent, and the food and beverage service was excellent. Highly recommended.

The room was clean and comfortable, the service was good, and the breakfast was delicious. I will stay here again next time.

Two years ago, while hiking at Bawangtan, I saw this hotel under construction. I thought the location was fantastic, and it looked like it was going to be a high-end hotel, so I'd been wanting to stay there. I chose a weekend to visit, and there was probably some municipal construction going on along the road, which was a mess, but fortunately, it didn't affect parking. Upon check-in, I discovered the pool was leaking and under repair, so it was unusable. I booked a twin room, but upon arrival, I discovered the flush toilet didn't work, the central air conditioning was making unusual noises, the mirror was moldy, and the drain wasn't working properly. After contacting the hotel, they said the construction had caused the toilet to be out of service, so they moved us to a king-size room. The toilet also didn't work. I think the hotel should have a contingency plan, like providing a bucket for guests to flush themselves, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to stay. The cleanliness of the room was passable, but the common areas and hallways were filthy. We dined in the hotel restaurant that evening, but since we didn't have a reservation, many dishes were unavailable—which is understandable. However, the food was quite unpalatable. Now, let's talk about the hotel's location and ambiance, which are perhaps its only real strengths. To be honest, I am quite disappointed overall.

I spent over a thousand dollars on this hotel, and the quality was truly disappointing! I spent the night doing nothing but catching stink bugs! They kept coming one after another! Even with the windows and doors closed, the insects kept coming! Asking for insecticide from the front desk was useless! It said it was renovated in 2024, but the room was actually very old. The bathroom was covered in cobwebs and hair from the previous guests! The breakfast was even worse. The pie was leftover and was cold and hard! The only drink was milk, which was also cold!

Overall, it wasn't very ideal. Having visited so many B&Bs, I suggest they provide appropriate amenities and services to match the price and location. 1) The price was 5,000 NTD for two rooms and two nights. The average price was 1,000 NTD plus the holiday period, based on the ***** New Year price. I understand and am willing to pay the B&B staff for staying on duty during the holiday. However, the staff was short-staffed, and I had to carry my luggage to the 2nd and 3rd floors myself. There was no elevator. Since there were no men, I didn't want to burden the only women. Later, I discovered that the two tall and strong men were in the restaurant. I don't understand!!! 2) There were no ***** New Year themed activities, nor were there many other ***** New Year activities offered to guests, nor were there many travel recommendations (which was also quite indifferent). 3) The lack of towels and floor towels for extended stays was the biggest complaint and the most negative review. Did they require me to check out before checking in? Did they expect everyone to use a dirty towel and wipe it again the next day? That's too much! 4) Since many dining options during the ***** New Year require reservations, there was no advance notice or arrangements. Overall, the experience was terrible. I won't be back and won't recommend it to friends.
