WoodSpring Suites Chandler Airport

Room is clean, convenient for transit or late arrival, easy for check-in

I first found WoodSpring Suites in Gilbert first looking for a hotel to stay for NXR near Toka Sticks golf course. They did not have enough rooms available by the time we booked so our Cross Country coach found the Chandler airport location. I feel so guilty for finding this hotel chain for our team and all of the parents that came with us. Our coaches room didn’t even have toilet paper. One of the girls on our team, walked into her bathroom to find the toilet seat up and pee all over the toilet. In my review of this hotel, the response was they were sorry they didn’t “exceed my expectations”. It was a no reply email so I could not say you have to meet expectations before you can exceed them. Regardless of the bare-bones nature of these suites (they don’t have shampoo, hair, dryers, Kleenex, etc., to keep costs down) they didn’t have basic toilet paper or cleanliness. Their response also said if I had complained, they would’ve moved us to a different room or brought toilet paper up. I would say the fact that the room wasn’t cleaned and stocked when they rented it to us was the biggest problem. The bedding was also very space. Not very comfortable mattresses and very threadbare blankets. I am just glad it wasn’t cold.

I only stayed for one night. So didn’t get the full experience, or see a lot. But the room was clean and comfortable.

Bare bones hotel with lots of extra charges. Has refrigerator, 2 burners and microwave but you have to pay extra $20 for a plate, glass, bowl and cutlery and $25 for pans. They only give you 1 towel and 1 face cloth per person and you have to bring them down to exchange them for fresh ones. No Kleenex or paper towels. Room is very small, bed is almost pushed over to wall making it hard to get in. Provide 1 small bar of soap and 1 small shampoo. Beware of surprise internet charges. Only 1 device allowed and pop up to log in turns out to be a pay for charge of $6.99. Won’t give refund if you inadvertently select it. We visit the area about 3 times a year for 7 to 10 days each time but definitely won’t stay here again.

When checking in I got charged more than quoted on line. When checking out, Paige was the most enjoyable person working at the time. She has a great heart and help me with lyft ride.
