PROPERTY SETTING:Hidden Valley Retreat Cottages is conveniently close to Sydney yet you couldn’t feel more removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life once you arrive. Set on 40 acres of pristine land near Kurrajong, in the Hawkesbury area, we are tucked away in the foothills of the Blue Mountains. This is the perfect place for anyone looking to relax in the peace and tranquillity of the rainforest, listening to the birds and the running water of the creek. Take a walk to enjoy the natural beauty of the wild, bushland that abounds, sip fine wine picked up on your day’s travel into the valley or sit by the open fire listening to your favourite music; do as much or as little as you like. THE COTTAGE:Jacaranda Cottage, named after the shady Jacaranda trees beside it, is a traditional settler-style log cabin with two bedrooms (a queen and a twin). Fresh linen and towels are provided and the beds have electric blankets. There's a basic kitchenette and private BBQ to cater for simple meals. The cottage boasts open fire and air-conditioning/heating as well as a double bath with jets. Looking out from your veranda you can see and hear the birds in the trees and feel the calm of the spring-fed pond. THE PROPERTY:Jacaranda Cottage is one of five secluded, private, self-contained rustic cabins, each in their own separate area of forest on the property. They are available individually or as a group for up to 24 people. A tennis court is available for use up the hill at the main house. Pets welcome by arrangement.SIGHTS:Nearby attractions include the beautiful botanical gardens of Mt Tomah, quaint Kurrajong village, Richmond markets and the historic Windsor all within 10 to 30 mins drive and well worth a visit. On our doorstep are two World Heritage National Parks, the Blue Mountains and the Wollomi, not to mention the Grose River ideal for a quick swim, or the mighty Hawkesbury River for more.About pets:Pets allowed.Pls notify us you are bringing pets, bring bedding.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Creeks and dense bushland on the property.About checkIn:Check in after 2:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.If outside be very careful of bushfire conditions.About events:No events allowed.
