"There was a cockroach about 10cm in size on the wall above the bed. I called and a staff member came with a broom a while later. I lost sight of it as I was trying to chase it away without even putting the bed cover on. I was lucky to be given a different room, but doing work that could get dusty right on the bed is a good indication of the situation at this hotel. While having breakfast the next morning, I was asked if I wanted coffee, and when I did, I was charged for it. I don't know what to say."

The hotel is 18 kilometers away from the airport instead of 9 kilometers as described by the hotel. The owner is a local and very enthusiastic. The security downstairs is well done, and the 24-hour security guards are on duty downstairs. Hotels like Chittagong are already very good. There are no construction sites around, sleep is very quiet, very suitable for business travel"

"The breakfast is good. It is very convenient to take the highway from the airport. However, the streets are very dirty, which is a common problem in Bangladesh. The service is good. The waiter brought the luggage to the room. The floor is high, the bed is soft, and the bath water is comfortable. Two bottles of water are provided."

"Apart from front desk receptionist who never smiled, greeted or said anything that might make travellers/ customers feel welcome, other staff were helpful and friendly. However, as the first person travellers encounter and deal with inside the hotel, after helpful bellboy taking our cases as we approached the front door, and doorman greeting us, this young lady could use a’refresher’ in PR / customer service and basic politeness! The hotel was renovated in 2023 but the carpet in our room could use a thorough steam cleaning, in fact the attractive decor and overall impression are undercut by a badly stained carpet, something vacuuming cannot remedy. Both my husband and I found the mattress uncomfortable- we like firm but this was hard - ‘like a board! I noted, and did not sleep well, turning frequently from one side to another. Had we stayed longer than two days, we would have asked to move rooms or have a ‘topper’ added. There were several good restaurants in the neighbourhood as well as a buzzy night market. Centrally located, we were able to access tourist sites easily by tuk tuk."
