This guesthouse, at St James, is a must, for anyone wanting accommodation away from the city, on the False Bay coast. From the reception desk, through the immaculately furnished lounge then to your suites, this guesthouse is full of wonderful furniture, adding to the 'old world" character of this magnificent guesthouse. The suites are beautiful, spacious, and of course with beautiful furniture and fittings. The staff, especially Goodnews , are exceptional, and will attend to your all your needs. There are plentiful local restaurants, galleries and bars to visit. just down the road.

If you want high quality standard around St James, the Seaforth is a good choice. Somewhat apart from the main manor, but with a much more modern setup. Like a huge beachfront villa basically, but with 3 room that are rented out. We had the place to ourselves the first night, felt absolutely right. Great service, the manager welcomed us and introduced us to the place. Good attention also later, but this place is for those who want to be a bit private. All inclusive, and with a chef making breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended! Only 5-6 minutes walk to the Dalebrook pool and into Kalk Bay. 2 minutes walk from the St James station. Go for the Farmer suite which faces the beach.

Amazing winter special; a fraction of usual rate. Huge 70 sq m suite with lovely veranda overlooking the sea. Very friendly staff. The entire place has an amazing ambiance. Was very quiet with few guests, but this is also great in a way as then one can really relax. Walking distance to hippie chic Kalk Bay. Not long drive from stunning Cape Point Nature reserve. For such a posh establishment, the breakfast options are very basic. I suggest to serve bigger portions of fresh orange juice, fruit salad and yogurt, and add more fillings to the omelette. WiFi also very poor in rooms, have to sit in office upstairs or in downstairs areas for good reception.

Der Empfang war so herzlich, dass es herzlicher nicht mehr geht. Für mich eins der besten Hotels,in denen ich jemals war. Historischer Stil in perfekter Eleganz. Alles sehr liebevoll und exklusiv hergerichtet. Alles kann genutzt werden. Es ist praktisch wie zu Hause. Am Pool liegen z.B. nutzbare Sonnenhütte. Der Pool ist toll. Die Zimmer sind ein Traum. Hier macht Urlaub richtig Spaß. Auch die Bar ist im Preis inkludiert. Sieht super aus. Leider trinken wir nicht so Gene Alkohol. Frühstück ist von 8 - 10.00 Uhr. Fazit: immer Gene wieder ins St. James Manor.
