This is such a beautiful boutique hotel. Rooms are large, this is not a big complex you are made feel at home as soon as you arrive. The lounge area is a great place to unwind with a nice wine, and you’ll probably be the only ones there as this is a very quaint hotel.

This place is amazing ! My wife and I stayed here for three nights for a wedding and it was absolutely stunning. First let’s start with its curb side beauty and continues inside with its rustic wood appearance. Once you walk inside it continues with more wooded beauty and very well looked after. The rooms are very spacious and super clean and looked after. Then you get to meet the hostesses that do everything you need and look after you like your their own. Annette, Brooke and Landon were absolutely amazing. From great drinks being hand delivered and always a smile on their face to the chef in the kitchen that made food that was so mouthwatering each day we were there. The breakfast was to die for I could eat the eggs Benny all day. Great location quiet area of canmore and easy place to find and park. Thanks for having us and we will be back.

We had a really lovely experience with The Bear and Bison Inn. It was simple, heartfelt, and felt very true to us. The setting was beautiful, and everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Our officiant did a great job making the ceremony feel personal without it being over the top. It struck a nice balance of meaningful and relaxed, which was exactly what we were hoping for We felt comfortable, present, and supported throughout the whole process, and we’re really grateful for how everything came together. Would definitely recommend to other couples looking for a thoughtful and low-stress ceremony.

I relied heavily on reviews while planning for my micro destination wedding so I wanted to leave a detailed review for other brides looking. The Bear & Bison was perfect. Lonny & his team made the planning process stress free. We had a 20 person micro wedding & rented the entire Inn for the weekend (10 bedrooms). The place is exactly the vibe for the Rockies - log cabin style with a view of the mountains. Our guests could not stop talking about the food - they even made accommodations for our 10 year old cousin who loved her pancakes instead of the "adult" breakfasts. I cannot speak enough about the staff. Brooke, Annette, and Barbara continuously checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed. We didn't need to bring any decorations as they set up everything perfectly from their inventory. I was so stressed about the rain (it didn't end up raining) but the girls were fully prepared with options for umbrellas or setting up inside which I cannot thank enough. Everyone loved the bartender Landon - he talked to all the guests and made everyone feel like his family. From our bonfire welcome night, to the wedding day itself, to the goodbye breakfast, the staff made sure every event went perfectly. This was our dream wedding. I cannot thank the staff enough for making the weekend so special for us. We will definitely be back for an anniversary. A few notes for future brides -ask the staff which rooms don't have separate showers when planning for elderly or disabled guests -Put bath salts as favors for your guests since all the rooms have beautiful tubs -do the bonfire package plus bar the night before the wedding - it was easier to organize than planning a trip to another bar, plus people can go to bed when they want. -All of the food was outstanding especially the 3 sisters baked alaska cake

I got married on April 28, 2025 at the Bear and Bison Inn, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. We had 64 guests and we stayed two nights at the Inn. My number one compliment to this venue is the staff. Right from the beginning Lonny was a very responsive with emails and helping guide me through wedding planning. There were no hidden fees and everything was very professional and thought out. The day of the rehearsal dinner, check-in was smooth and Brooke and Barbara immediately started setting up all the little details I had planned. The service at the Inn was just incredible and they were so nice and reassuring. The staff were hands down one of the highlights of my wedding. The food was a 10/10 and everyone loved our tapas style dinner the day of the wedding. I was so impressed how efficiently food was distributed to everyone and how guests with dietary restrictions were provided for. Our bartender was fantastic and even gave us tips on the best spots for pictures. The hot tub was a great feature and all the rooms were beautiful. BREAKFAST was unreal both days, and guests commented on how wonderful the whole space was. I can’t recommend this place enough. Definitely a cozy space that felt like I was getting married in a cabin tucked away in the mountains. Perfect for smaller intimate weddings. This venue is VERY experienced with what they do and can guide you to decisions that work best for everyone!

We had a small destination wedding in late May at a Bear and Bison Inn and we could not have had a better experience. We rented the entire inn for the weekend which is an amazing option and value. From the planning process to the day of, everything was so smooth and effortless. Lonny, Brooke and Barbara took great care of us and our guests. The food was outstanding. We opted for the Silver Services Tapas menu which was exactly what we envisioned and more. Everything was just perfect! Absolutely check out a Bear and Bison inn if you are in need of a wedding venue in the Canmore area.

This is a very nice quite location. The building and rooms are on the small side but very nice. Not super modern but still in good condition. The hot tub was always quiet and so nice to use in the evening. Parking was a bit tight and a gravel lot with huge potholes so be aware! No real view from our room other than the treed yard, but it was nice and private. Staff was very friendly. Included breakfast was awesome, but it would be nice if they asked how you wanted it cooked. I don't like runny eggs and hot sauce but that's what I got. You only get a choice of the time you get breakfast, not what you get. Still, a very nice place and I would definitely return. Thanks!
