This was my second time staying at this resort, and unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. The rooms are outdated and in need of renovation—ours had smudges on the walls, a bathroom window that wouldn’t close completely, and even visible mold. Dining was also disappointing. The food was mediocre at best, and getting into the restaurants was a frustrating experience—you need to line up by 5:30 PM just to get a table. Customer service left much to be desired as well. The staff at the front desk were unhelpful and had an attitude when asked basic questions. The entertainment during the day was dull, and there weren’t many activities to choose from. Overall, the resort no longer offers good value. I’d recommend looking elsewhere unless you have very low expectations.

All in all this was a fantastic resort. We would return! The resort is exactly how described on line. Very picturesque! You arrive at the family friendly side of the resort. You are whisked away in a golf cart to the Coral (adults only). Greeted with a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage. Check in process was a bit slow as only 1 person was working. Some of our party rooms were not ready. Either way, they slap a bracelet on you and your able to start your vacation right away. They provide luggage storage. PRO's: - ALMOST Everything! - No room keys to have to lug around. Your Iberostar bracelet is your room key and give you access to the adult only side. - Staff was amazing. Special shout out to Luis and Santiago (swim up pool bar) and Jaime (lobby bar). They remembered your name and what you were drinking, had it ready before you even got to the bar. - Rooms super clean and comfy. Spacious. Oceanfront views for what seemed miles, We had a higher floor room. - Mini fridge in room was well stocked. We requested it to be filled with just Coke Zero and water. Done without any hesitation. - The beautiful infinity pool had daily activities; Beach and Pool Volleyball, Trivia, Pool Darts, Cornhole Tournaments. They also had water yoga and spin classes in the pool. All were well attended. - Food was good overall. The breakfast and lunch buffets had lots of traditional options, always the best fruit. Be sure to try the Mango Station! - The American Bistro was average. This is the only restaurant we felt the service was not as great as throughout the resort. No reservations needed. - The Hibachi restaurant; Each station seats 18, portions were smaller than expected for hibachi . Our chef was not the most personable. Reservations required. - The Italian restaurant - DO NOT SKIP IT!! CONS: - Only 1 very slow elevator. - The pillows were logs. HARD!! - Nightly entertainment needs some work. Very few options and if/when something was scheduled it was lack luster. - Constantly trying to get you to sign up for a timeshare presentation.

My husband and I stayed at the Coral Selection (adult side) for 5 days in April of 2025. The hotel is beautiful, great location, 15-20 minutes from the airport. I don’t think I have ever seen workers clean a hotel like they did here, everything is very clean and well kept. Food quality is great. Not much of a younger crowd, like you would see at Riu. The beach is footsteps away. They don’t seem to have enough umbrellas and lounge chairs by the pool area (unless you pay extra), Jorge and Carlos were always very helpful chasing one for me. The food is delicious, good quality. But unfortunately during my stay, breakfast and lunch seemed the same everyday. They advertised a sea food Buffett at the Coral side one night and it left little to be desired. We ended up going to the other hotel for dinner every night and that was amazing, they had a sushi night where everything was fresh and delicious. I had lunch at the Coral one day and the whole entire time, not one person offered us anything to drink, I went to the host lady and asked for two cokes and that never came, my husband had to go to the pool bar to get a drink. They seemed short staffed. The pool bar on the adult side is very nice, Santiago is an amazing bartender. I wish they played more music, I could hear the fun/music coming from the resort next door. The workers here are absolutely amazing people. The entertainment team were great and made things fun. Room is spacious and comfortable, the view is absolutely breathtaking. The tub on the balcony is an amazing feature after a hot day in the ocean. Over all I had a great experience and would go back.

If you are into a good boutique hotel, this is for you. Brand new well accommodated with good food and drinks and a heated adult only pole on private beach section. All rooms are oceanfront with amazing views. There was never an issue getting lounge chair and the service was great. The food was above average but limited because everything is contained in one building like a hotel. you have access to the adjoining family property that is massive, but I found very little to do over there. My biggest disappointment was that the spa is very small outdated and located on the family side. The coral level should have had its own spa as it is set up as a separate property. Because of the cost, I was a bit underwhelmed because I prefer more things to do but again, if you love, boutique hotels, this would be a very good choice.
