My wife and I stayed here in mid-September for a weekend as we were going to a wedding in the area. Inn is quaint and rooms were attractive/clean/and complete. As many have said in prior reviews, breakfasts were a real treat. But I would not stay here again. We had the Gifford Room for two nights ($335 plus $45 taxes per night) and this faced the street which is a main thorough fare in the town (Route 332). This is a well trafficked route by both cars and trucks and you clearly hear the noise in the room. In fact, windows would rattle as some of the trucks passed by throughout the day and night. Unfortunately, a family member had a similar experience as she had stayed in the Hubbell Room. If you do stay here, and like most Inns, be prepared to take you own bags to the upstairs floors. (The fact that there was no hot water the morning we departed had no bearing on this overall review. This can happen anytime, anywhere).
